The article is from July 2023. So do you think the Suns have future plans for him?
I thought that at the time. He was being interviewed for regular NBA gigs. You know Ishbia, he probably is one of the highest paid dudes in the WNBA. I told my wife when he was hired he was over qualified, and it was probably a grab in case JJ went somewhere.

Screw him. His rep is that he traded Sophie.
I get that! I watch every Mercury game each year. It's amazing how much the two franchises mirrored each other, The Mercury have been an older, less athletic, team, that turn the ball over a lot and lose games by beating themselves more than opponents beating them. Since Nick came in, they have been slowly bringing in more athletic younger players. This season it accelerated by bringing in two all WNBA players. They should be much more competitive this season than previous seasons. The talk is Dewanna Bonner may be coming back. She's older, but still one of the best scorers in the WNBA. I am more excited to see the Mercury right now, than the Suns. LOL.

I think Beal has been cooperating with what he's been asked to be(role). And I also think he told the Suns he's not going anywhere.

We are stupid, we should have asked that he remove the ntc during the cp3/beal deal.

It would be like asking Beal to remove the clause that got him to Phoenix.

Yes. But one thing Ishbia has shown clearly is he does not think about the future at all when making deals.

I'm hoping there are some moves that partially change this direction today.

I bet he would have done it if the alternative was staying on the Wizards.

I saw a rumor last night of him returning to Washington but then they made the deal for Middleton. Kind of makes me wonder if the idea was at least proposed to Beal.

The Wizards reportedly hope to flip Middleton so that's something to consider.
