Plot Summary: "Frozen River" is the story of Ray Eddy, an upstate New York trailer mom who is lured into the world of illegal immigrant smuggling when she meets a Mohawk girl who lives on a reservation that straddles the US-Canadian border. Broke after her husband takes off with the down payment for their new doublewide, Ray reluctantly teams up with Lila, a smuggler, and the two begin making runs across the frozen St. Lawrence River carrying illegal Chinese and Pakistani immigrants in the trunk of Ray's Dodge Spirit.

great show! This was the best picture. And it cost 5 dollars to make it.

The movie was great.

The acting was superb, the plot was great, and they did a great job in presenting the material in a way that there was no protagonist but you wanted to know what happens to the ladies.

That scene with the duffel bag was downright edge of the seat kind of stuff.

Excellent movie. Definitely gets an A+ for realism. You would be hard-pressed to find another film with more believable characters.

Definitely. Melissa Leo's performance was so good that it seemed like you were watching real life, not a movie.
