FYI apparently Budinger had 49 in a tournament recently, and Kevin Love reportedly had 35 rebounds in a win over an LA team in a Florida tournament over the weekend. Tyrone Shelley is on most Pac 10 teams recruiting list but this sure sounds to me like the coach shouldn't have let this happen.
Crawford star doesn't play in fourth quarter

Tyrone Shelley kept shooting and the ball kept dropping through the net. Over and over.
When Crawford High basketball coach Terry Tucker pulled Shelley out of the game with 1:30 remaining in the third quarter yesterday, the scorebook showed a San Diego Section single-game record 76 points in a 138-29 victory over Canada's Burlington Central.

The 76 points in the Kiwanis Tournament opener at Mission Bay High easily surpassed the previous best of 64 by Christian's Tony Clark in 1990, and the 138 points by the team is second only to the 143 scored by La Jolla Country Day against Mountain Empire in 1992.
Shelley's total is the sixth-best in state history.
"I was hitting my midrange floater from the free-throw line and they were giving me open shots," said the 6-foot-6½ forward, chosen the state's Sophomore of the Year last season by CalHiSports.com.
"I probably could have scored 90 or 100 points if I'd played the whole game. I didn't feel bad. A lot of my points were because of our defense, and the other team was very good about it."
Shelley, whose previous high was 51 points two years ago while a freshman at Christian, collected 31 two-point field goals, four three-pointers and converted 2-of-3 free throws.
He scored 28 in the first quarter as the Colts dominated Burlington 52-2. The 52 also broke the section record of 48 in a quarter by Sweetwater in 1984.
Shelley scored 32 in the second quarter and tossed in 16 more in the third.
Tucker said Shelley did not simply stand under the basket waiting for missed shots at the other end. He finished with 10 rebounds and 10 assists for a triple-double.

"If he hadn't played defense, he would have been sitting on the bench next to me," said Tucker, whose 1-1 club lost its season opener to Francis Parker by 17 last week. "We took the press off after the first quarter, but we were too fast and too tall for them."
Tucker said Shelley was a scoring machine.
"Tyrone made 13-of-14 shots in the first quarter – he missed a slam – and he missed other shots in the second and third quarter," Tucker said. "He's so quick and he makes it look so easy that we can't wait until we play against (top-ranked) La Costa Canyon and Chase Budinger on Jan. 6.
"We got to use all nine players and, to tell you the truth, our team made a bigger thing out of our freshman, Ronald Yell, scoring four points than Tyrone's 76."
Teammate Malcolm Thomas was impressed.
"I've never seen anything like it," Thomas said. "We kept going to the open man and it seemed like he was always open. Burlington's players kept trying to stop him and they were really good sports afterward."
Burlington Central, with an enrollment of slightly more than 800, is about 35 miles southwest of Toronto.
Shelley is no stranger to scoring points. He averaged 27.8 last season and 28.5 the year before.
After scoring 740 as a freshman, Shelley was on a pace that would have put him beyond the section career mark of Santa Fe Christian's Nick Corso (2,610). He was forced to miss 15 games last year, however, when his eligibility had to be verified following the transfer from Christian to Crawford. Shelley finished his sophomore season with 445 points.
