Only got 50 bucks, and see it happened to everyone.
It would be much better to take the cream off the top rather than cut everyone down dividing by 1 million. Even if the numbers are out of line, it doesn't fix the disparity by dividing everyone by 1 million. That just has the same disparity at smaller numbers.
People with trillions are still going to be the same proportion ahead, just now it's got fewer zeros. Meanwhile as said 1000 times earlier you can't do much with 50 bucks like me.
Sure the solution took the numbers down. From insane numbers to more normal numbers for those betting like derivative traders. But for everyone else, all their work was crushed. Luckily I didn't take it seriously and hadn't made a huge amount of trades. But for someone working hard to bring it up to something respectable but still far short of ludicrous numbers, reducing them just crushes them. I'm sure some people lost out on the trouble of going through hundreds if not thousands of trades. That would suck.
Just a suggestion, whatever solution should be multiplying by X amount everyone with 50, and dividing by X amount everyone over some ludicrous sum, like 100 million.
Another way to slow some of this down would be to limit the amount bets can reach. So you can't bet 1 billion on a single bet.
That way you don't need to do this sort of maneuver very often.
Just putting my 2 cents in and getting my name on whatever list saying 'this happened to me too, don't forget me in any solution'
