I'm Embarrassed

I must confess I knew about the A$FN dollar amount under my profile, but didn't know what the bleep it was. (Something related to numbers of posts was my guess).

So now I'd like to know (a) what do my $50 bucks stand for and (b) are they in US, Canadian or Icelandic dollars?

I have $50. Does that qualify me for some sort of supplemental program or something?

I say we pool our money together are start our own ASFN Bank, become a financial conglomerate and oppress those that don't invest in our institution.

A few weeks ago I broke 2000 for the first time on my account. I was almost to 3000. Now I have 50 again? Not cool.

Yes, A$FN points are worthless, but they were entertaining to build up. Why was everyone punished for the actions of a few? I can't even afford an arcade pass now!

Only got 50 bucks, and see it happened to everyone.

It would be much better to take the cream off the top rather than cut everyone down dividing by 1 million. Even if the numbers are out of line, it doesn't fix the disparity by dividing everyone by 1 million. That just has the same disparity at smaller numbers.

People with trillions are still going to be the same proportion ahead, just now it's got fewer zeros. Meanwhile as said 1000 times earlier you can't do much with 50 bucks like me.

Sure the solution took the numbers down. From insane numbers to more normal numbers for those betting like derivative traders. But for everyone else, all their work was crushed. Luckily I didn't take it seriously and hadn't made a huge amount of trades. But for someone working hard to bring it up to something respectable but still far short of ludicrous numbers, reducing them just crushes them. I'm sure some people lost out on the trouble of going through hundreds if not thousands of trades. That would suck.

Just a suggestion, whatever solution should be multiplying by X amount everyone with 50, and dividing by X amount everyone over some ludicrous sum, like 100 million.

Another way to slow some of this down would be to limit the amount bets can reach. So you can't bet 1 billion on a single bet.

That way you don't need to do this sort of maneuver very often.

Just putting my 2 cents in and getting my name on whatever list saying 'this happened to me too, don't forget me in any solution'

That's what I thought too. Then, i remembered it was all pretend money and just a way to pass the time.

:D True.

Just a shock to find out losing $470+ million wasn't a fluke. Feel like I got bent over in this deal.. even if it was in make believe land.

Personally I think the vbookie system could be really cool if used properly. The way it is currently used makes it a joke and is why people started off with 1000 and ended up betting trillions two months later.

IMO the vbookie bets should be simpler. You should not be able to bet on everything and win every time with insane odds. That's what makes the entire system a joke.

With that in mind I think the entire system should be reset with EVERYONE going to 1000 A$FN again.

The Bets should only center around sports bets and include the odds as close to Vegas as possible. They should always pay 1/1. There shouldn't be 100s people with a sextillion A$FN. That's just insane.

Stupid bets on how many times Alex Smith picks his nose or how many sacks a guy will have are worthless IMO. Especially when the odd are so insane that you can get 50x what you bet.

Again I think the system should be modeled off of Vegas bets. It shouldn't be easy to win.
