Cant believe he is out of the league, Watson had huge potential.

It is all Whiz's fault.

Just like Lutui, just like Branch.

Watson never wanted to keep his weight under control.

Watson never wanted to listen to what the coaches were trying to tell him.

Watson was drafted by the Cardinals, but they had the audacity to ask him to do things differently than he did in college.

Wastson was told by the Cardinals the things he could do, to tap into his potential and make a lof of money, but who do the Cardinals think they are by doing that ? Watson knows what is best for Watson, and the Cardinals should have let Watson tell them what to do.

And look how successful Watson has become without Whiz, and company ruining his career.

Some one should send this news clipping to Dan Williams.

Dan Williams played well last season before getting hurt. The positive difference in favor of the Cardinals D in the middle when Big Dan was in the game stuck out like a sore thumb. Offenses just can't move him and he was finally starting to even push the pocket more on the few pass attempts made while he was in the game. I sure hope his injury doesn't derail his career.

:yeahthat: Watson was just beginning to make an impact. I was looking forward to him being dominant the next season - then the knee injury, and he never really recovered...

Well it IS a lot of work to re-hab an injury. Then after you re-hab an injury it is best to keep light on your feet.

Pretty confident to assume Watson didn't do either. He even stated in the press that his final season in AZ he wasn't doing what he needed to do as a football player.

Lots of players get injuries, but the ones with work ethic, and good habits recover.

Watson was doing awesome until his injury on the treadmill where he busted up his knee...never recovered.

One of the nicest players I ever met. Still have the photo of him and me in my office. A+ person...wish him nothing but the best.

That's it. I am also putting treadmills on the list of non-allowable activities, along with basketball.

They used to have interviews of players in the game day programs and they always asked the players what their hobby was.

Most players tried to act sophisticated by saying they collected antiques or had a wine cellar or something along those lines.

When they asked Big Gabe he said that he always liked to eat so he thought food was his hobby.:)

I wouldnt say huge potential. But he was a huge body that when in shape was a force in the run game. The knee thing killed his career.

The Cardinals have never been to the Super Bowl without Gabe Watson on the roster.
