Buehler, who gives up almost no walks, has a
walk and hit batsman with one out in the 2nd.

The D-backs have to take advantage of this.

And another walk loads the bases with Ray
coming up.

The home plate ump is blowing call after call against
us, meaning Buehler is even wilder than usual.

I hope the ump shapes up soon.

Bases left loaded.

Marte with a perfect hit & run single sends Dyson to 3B
to start the 3rd.

Two on base with no outs for the second inning in a row.

Escobar whiffs for the first out.

Peralta lines out.

Walker strikes out.

Buehler is handing it to the D-backs, but they don't seem
to want it. Second inning in a row.

There's the offense we know. Given opportunities and can't capatilize

Dodgers with a double, walk and sac by the pitcher.

Then a sac fly by Pollock who says, "D-backs, if you
don't want to score, we will." :)

Then Robbie walks Turner. Runners on 1st & 2nd
with two outs.

A double and it's 2-0 Dodgers. Runners on 2nd &
3rd.

Bellinger is intentionally walked to load the bases.

It’s amazing how anyone the dodgers acquire or call up produce . Will Smith? Who the heck is that?

And that's the difference between a. 500 team vs a playoff team. They score when the pitcher struggles. Dbacks get 0 runs out of bases loaded and 2 runners with no outs the next inning.

Robbie leaves them loaded, but has his usual problem.
58 pitches in 3 innings. With only two strikeouts.

But then, Buehler has 60 pitches in his first 3 innings.

This seems to be 'Walker Buehler's Day Off' ('sorry,
couldn't resist), be he has the 2-0 lead.

The D-backs leave two more runners on base in the 6th.
Buehler is at 101 pitches.

This team is just abysmal with RISP. Terrible discipline .
They should play what they used to call National League baseball. Strategy.

It is why I've changed my mind about adopting the DH in the NL. There is no
more strategy in the National League.

Both starting pitchers have been replaced.

The Dodgers have only two hits, but both
were doubles in the 3rd inning along with
a sacrifice fly.

It's still 2-0 Dodgers after 7 innings.

Of course it is! With the D-backs one game
over .500, are they going to go two over
or sink back to .500?

When is the last time we were more than 1
game over .500? And, if so, for how long?

That's a rhetorical question. :)

Walker singles with one out in the 8th and
is out trying to stretch it into a double.

Still 2-0.

And it's the top of the 9th with the Dodgers
closer Kenley Jansen on the mound.

Bottom third of the D-backs order coming up.

Ahmed with a bloop hit to LF.

Carson Kelly tying run at the plate.
And he hits a 2-run HR to the
opposite field to tie it.

Second time he's homered off
Jansen this season.

Avila pinch hitting and he looks
at a strike three.

Tale of our two catchers.

Dyson with a 1-out bunt single.

Heads up play. Marte is up.

And Dyson steals second to
put the lead run on 2B.

A bunt and a stolen base.
Now, that's a leadoff hitter.

Ground ball by Marte. Dyson
advances to 3B with 2 outs.

Escobar, the Major League
leader in RBI's, is up but he
is in a slump.

He whiffs and we go to the
bottom of the 9th.

Lopez is in to pitch to the
Dodgers 3-4-5 hitters.

The lefty Chafin is in to pitch with
one out in the bottom of the 9th
to face Bellinger, who grounds out.
