I hear you, but he did it against the Dodgers too. Drives me crazy though.

We used to have 6 teams ahead of us for the last playoff spot. Now there is only one, and the Cubs are hot too, and will be VERY hard to catch. But I have to give Torey credit for getting the most out these guys and putting us in this position. The team has not quit and they are playing very hard for him. (a sign of a good manager). We are only 2 wins away from my prediction of 76 wins but as 32 said, I am thrilled to be wrong and will happily admit it.

OK, now for some crazy talk. Washington is 5-5 in the last 10 and we are 9-1 so we have gained 4 games on them in the last 10 games and have moved up to just 4.5 games behind them with 21 to play. It is a HUGE challenge but who knows?

Interesting point. He's on the road with the team anyway, but wouldn't get his weeklong "on assignment" vacations.
And a manager's job is pretty much a year round responsibility.

I wonder if, at the age of 65 1/2, BB would want the pressure, especially with a pitching staff in a state of rebuilding.

And a relief corps that needs . . . replacement. My guess would be that Bob would say, "Nah, give it to a younger guy.

BB is happy being an announcer. I highly doubt he would ever manage again. Besides, they won't get rid of TL anytime soon.

Just curious - do you think this team is only 1.5 games out of a playoff birth, has won 11 of their last 12 and 23 & 10 since August 2nd, in spite of Torey Luvello?
How many more wins do you think they’d have if Torey wasn’t the manager??
