Escobar with a triple and the Freight Train drives him in with a single. A
single by Walker and a Pirates error and runners on 2nd & 3rd.

Flores with a sac fly and it's a 2-0 lead with Walker on 3B and 2 outs.

BB said, "Maybe they played Take Me Out To The Ballgam before the game
and the D-backs think it's the 7th inning." -- their most productive.

Funny stuff! That's why Bob Brenly is the best color commentator in
baseball.

Good running catch in the outfield off the bat of Swihart ends the inning.

Nick Ahmed with a solo HR in the top of the 2nd,
followed by a double off the wall by Caleb Joseph.

The pitcher Kelly bunts and Caleb was caught in a
rundown. 1 out and runner on 2B.

And Escobar with his second extra base hit, a double,
drives in our 4th run. Escobar's bat is back.

I think the performance of our our 7th-8th inning
relievers might have something to do with it.

And Escobar is now a HR short of the cycle.

The D-backs with 3 runs in the 7th and 3 in the 8th,
to increase their league leading 7th inning and 7-8-9
inning totals.

Dbacks would basically have to bat around for Escobar to get a shot at an HR

Crazy how when they are on they are on. I'm fine with one game here and there that they don't get alot of hits if most of their other games they are crashing it. Walker and Escobar are just on fire.

Pirates are in 2nd place in the Central Division,
but the stadium is empty game after game.

I thought Pittsburgh is a good baseball city.

I don't like that all of Swihart's swings are lunging at the ball.

This last at-bat he, as a switch-hitter, was batting right
against the lefty pitcher.

Earlier Steve said that his reputation was as a hitter.


Great diving catch at 1B by Walker then, with Koch
slow to get to the bag, Walker won the race.

And it's over. 11-2 D-backs.
