And by the way I hope its Lamb who blasts the dinger
Bob Brenly just said that Jake Lamb is not a 1B and just messed up on another play,
a pickoff attempt where the runner wound up on 2B.
Which has now resulted in a second Texas run. 2-0.
Four potential 1B, per Lovullo's merry-go-round, and he picks the weakest fielder.
1B is not a position where you put your worst fielder.
A good fielding 1B can make five other players better.
(I'm a lefty and have a first baseman's mitt in my closet, in case that's not obvious.)
Let's see the replies when its 5-2 D Backs
In the 8th. All the negative crap...get behind the team. A win today gets us right back in it
So now it's the whole team you dislike? Saying they have no desire to play is hogwash. It's one thing to dislike Torey but to question all the players is crazy. But hey seems you dislike everything AzAnd yet the team plays like it is entirely disinterested. Why should we get behind a team that is not behind itself?
How about Lynn is just kicking butt to start the seasonMad Bum is gone after 5 1/3, down 2-0.
Against the worst hitting team in baseball.
But the D-backs are just as bad.
We're the ones down 2-0, and having
left the bases loaded earlier.

Yeah, let's see with MadBum out of the game. I appreciate your dedication, but not at the expense of reality.Let's see the replies when its 5-2 D Backs

Which has nothing to do with his being an inferior fielder, first at 3B and now at 1B.And by the way I hope its Lamb who blasts the dinger.
We shall see ....runner on base ...no lynnYeah, let's see with MadBum out of the game. I appreciate your dedication, but not at the expense of reality.

With a history of his bat disappearing the second half of each season.
I don't like that stupid grin on his face, even when he messes up.
The Manager sets the tone. Torey is very laid back and inconsistent. So now it's the whole team you dislike? Saying they have no desire to play is hogwash. It's one thing to dislike Torey but to question all the players is crazy. But hey seems you dislike everything Az
That's baseballCarson Kelly with a single. 2-1. And Jon Jay gets a fly out but, with a wild throw by the Rangers LF,
a sac fly and it's a tie game. Another run thanks to the opposition's bad fielding.
Whatever that means. Hoping for errors is not a proactive approach to winning. That's baseball
Bad fielding...should we take the run away? Of course not. It's a run and a tied gameWhatever that means. It is not a proactive approach to winning.
I root for my team to make things happen.

I really don't want to belabor this debate, but "It's a run and tied a game" is not a formula for a winning season. Obviously!Bad fielding...should we take the run away? Of course not. It's a run and a tied game
It took a lot more than winning the World Series on a bloop hit to get there. We won a world series on a bad fielding play. You take it

It was actually Brenly's decision to start Schilling in Games 1-4-7 and the ace Johnson in Games 2 and 6 at home
rather than Yankee Stadium to win it.
The most brilliant move I've seen in my 67 years of rooting for National League baseball. It is a lot more proactive
an approach than "that's baseball", which is an awfully passive approach to a successful season.
