I aint a spur fan one bit, but every year that doesn't add up to "5....6.....7" rings for the meat is sweet music to my hating eardrums. Beat these suckers on their own wood!!!!!!!

Yeah, how did that go again?

Age is losing out in this game... The big 3 for the Spurs just aren't able to pick up for the dramatic fall off of Danny Green. Meanwhile, the Big 3 for the Heat are more than able to carry their team...

Suck it Spurs! Have a long offseason knowing you choked game 6. :) Will never root for San Antonio after the 2007 playoffs. That was the Suns championship.

two bonehead plays by ginobili to end the game.

I will say that defensive play by LeBron was a gem. The play was for Ginobili to go under and kick it behind him to Duncan who was following, but LeBron did not let Duncan get in front of him, and Ginobili had nowhere to go.

So we can cross off the very first part of his statement. "Not one." Quite a bit more to go.

I posted a few days ago that I was rooting for the Spurs, but I suspected that the Heat were toying with them.

It looked like all they were trying to do in Game 7 was hang in there, even at home. Then, with a few minutes to go, Miami (on the shoulders of James) opened up their largest lead of the game to take the championship.

I'm sorry but LeBron James is the 2nd best player to ever play the game of basketball. There's no avoiding that.

As much as I love LeBron, I can't buy this. Michael Jordan vehemently disagrees.

LeBron is certainly the best to play since Jordan retired, but he hasn't supplanted him on the totem pole of all-time greats. Let's reopen this discussion in 8 years.

I edited and I agree with you. I was just celebrating too hard when I posted that ;)

I don't think any one player can be called the best. Too many great players over the years - and at different positions on the court.

No one that's been mentioned has Russell's 11 rings in 13 seasons (and, yes, that's coming from a Lakers' fan) or averaged a triple double like the Big O (in only his second season) or earned as many MVP's as Kareem (one record which LeBron does have a chance to break).

I think the NBA did it right when they made a list of their top 50 players on their 50th anniversary rather than trying to narrow it down.

Maybe they need to do an update.
