What a great signing! He has hit in every one of the eight games, now with 4 HR's.

Thanks to him, we didn't miss a beat after losing Souza in RF.

And Avila doubles in Ahmed. 7-1. We have a hitting Catcher. Also a good defensive one.

THIS FEELS GOOD!

Especially after the Suns season.

BB commented that he looks different on the mound.

Two walks and a wild pitch putting runners on 1st and 3rd.

He just hit 100 pitches. And now walked the bases loaded.

Chafin is coming in. That doesn't sound too much better.

I noticed in the Opening Day introductions that Bracho must
have been re-signed by the D-backs. Why in the world would
they do that? His body language on the mound sucks! As
does his pitching.

Walker intentionally walked to get to Marte,
who homered early in the game.

Holy jumping' sh**. Marte's second. A
grand slam. Switch hit HR's. 12-1.

They're out-hitting the Red Sox 14-3.

They just showed Godley and Chafin in the
dugout and Steve referred to them as the
comedy team. Luckily, they were serious today.

And Ahmed with a double. Still only 1 out.

And we're just in the 6th inning.

A sellout crowd. 48,388 announced.

These are our Arizona Diamondbacks, who are no longer in love with the home run on every pitch.

It is a pretty solid lineup. Interestingly, now that injuries have forced Torey to do less tinkering with the position players.

And. BTW, Avila with a HR off the position player now pitching for the Red Sox. 15-5.

Great offensive effort (Walker was about the only one who did NOT hit the cover off the ball) and nice bounce-back by Godley.
