Tyus needs to be moved to the bench. I don't care if it's Beal, Royce, or Grayson who takes his spot. He's a fine player on offensive for 20 minutes a game but should run the second unit and not be a hindrance on both sides while Booker, KD, and Beal out there. Tyus is awfully defensively, doesn't move off ball, and has gotten shot happy as of late. I don't care if he was promised a starting spot, he can pout.
It’s odd to start the season when healthy it seemed to be flowing pretty well, not sure what happened besides the injuries started to stack up! We have a bunch of somewhat inconsistent shooters and our consistent guys keep getting hurt, like tonight playing Denver with KD, Beal, Allen all out and Booker playing a an hour last night this game had blowout written all over it. Be interesting to see how it all plays out whether they can actually find a groove or continue with the unhealthy roster to fail…

Coach should not play Booker the entire first. I know he's the primary scoring threat but he looked a bit tired and was easily beat on defense. Maybe he should guard someone else than Jamal Murray.

sure we lost last night - we never led in the game and couldn't do a damn thing to stop joker but - and ill probably get wasted for saying this - it was almost watchable basketball

further we go down the bench - less turnovers we get - at least that's the way it seems - logic says theyd be the rusty ones but they're taking care of the ball

book only turned it over twice last night - both of the dumb lazy pass variety - gillespie coughed it twice but everyone else was nice - this suggests our turnover problem is all about focus and caring

might just be me but id rather watch a game we lose by 10 (or even 20 lol) then to watch us lose a game we should win due to 87 turnovers with 80 of them coming from the big 3

back to basics - simple safe passes is a good start
(we still absolutely suck so bad tho)

Even when the Nuggets bench players played near the end of the game, their movement and passing was crisp.

The Suns often give the appearance they don't practice. It's perplexing to say the least.
You can see it in spurts. We got down right off the bat early in the first quarter. All of a sudden, they started to move the ball around the perimeter and drive and kick to wide open shooters and started making shots, and in a blink of an eye the game was tied. You can see they CAN do it. They just cannot sustain that for a whole game. I don't know if it's good defense by the other squad, suns lose their focus, or fitness since they play starters for long stretches and they look gassed when they come out.

I think it comes down to playing team basketball. When the Suns play this way, they are fun to watch. When players defer to “stars” it leads to one-on-one basketball. That wasn't a problem last night with so many injuries.

Of course the Nuggets had the advantage with talent so that usually prevails.

It would have been thoughtful if the Suns had replaced Nurkic with another center, but I guess it's on to next season.

I looked at every trade scenario out there for Nurkic, and the ones that had centers in return made no practical sense. They tended to be one sided towards the Suns, and we were dealing from a position of weakness with Nurkic. He wasn't a player any team thought would make them better. So we dealt for non guaranteed deals, which worst case we waive those, along with Richards, get under the second apron, and now we can cook in a trade. Everything is going to happen in the off season.

I could go down a list of centers that were available this season for little or nothing, but I won't because it would be too frustrating. Thomas Bryant and Trey Jemison are a couple but go down NBA rosters and you will see them.

Again, we are trading poop for silver or gold. It's where we are starting from, not what's available. We got off Nurkic's salary. That helps a lot.

This will make some here mad, but what I think is most likely, we get under the second apron, trade for a center, and go back over the second apron. We will still have Beal, KD, and Booker to start the next season.

It wouldn't have to be a Nurkic for a center trade. Put that trade in a vacuum for a moment. It's done.

For example, Bismack Biyombo and Alex Len were recently waived and signed by other teams. The list goes on.

The Suns can manipulate their roster if they like.

We could sign them.

Len actually got up to c+ skill with time. I don't know about his mobility on defense, but I saw that.

I saw that. It was almost immediately, too. His agent must have been on that like an ant at a picnic.

I only listed a few examples. What's frustrating, the Suns have ignored adding depth at the 4/5 position all season, except for Richards.

They could at least be developing a big man on a two-way contract.

every team CAN do it in spurts so that really doesn’t mean much to me in the long run with this team.

Yeah, I quoted you in another thread about the developing center position. Our G League team is underwhelming at best for a Center.
