Euron's entrance this episode has to be the greatest entrance of any character in the series, even better than Stannis' smoke monster baby in Season 2. That battle was great. It was somewhat obvious something would happen but I didn't expect to see as much as we did. I thought they'd show the attack with a quick getaway, or something smaller in scale, not a 15 battle that rivaled the Battle of Blackwater Bay. I know it didn't last as long as the Blackwater siege but this wasn't a land and sea assault either. It was a nice surprise to see something that big so early in the season. I'd rank it up there with any other large battle that's been shown so far, except the Snow Bowl/Battle of the Bastards.
With only 7 episodes this year they don't have time to stretch things out like they have in the past. They've really jumped right into the thick of it across Westeros though. Episode 1 showed where everyone was and now all of the pieces are in motion. It sucks that we're basically halfway through a normal season though, with just 5 episodes left. This offseason is going to be rough, hopefully Winds of Winter is released before the year is up and/or they return for the final season next April, which is when they've started every other season.
