After hernia surgery Friday. A 3-6 week recovery period will almost end his tenure in the desert. The guy played pretty well up until his injury, much better than I expected after his arrived in FA. Thanks, Mike!!!

A job WELL DONE, Mr. Gandy...

Of ALL the "positions" to play in the NFL I think LT is one of the TOUGHEST!! THANK-YOU! Mark in S.C.

I would love to see Keith get some time at LT in the next few games, but chances are they will play Big Herm over him. I still dont think the big man has the skills or the feet to play tackle. Hasn't this team learned it lesson yet with LD & Levi? Time will tell.

Bridges will be the one playing.

The coaches like Gandy (he really played solid football for them) and if his price tag goes down, which it should, he could choose to re-sign and be in the mix for next year.

If not, like the rest of you, I wish him the very best and am thankful for how hard he worked and what he accomplished in his tenure at Glendale.

That is an unfortunate way to end a tenure with a team. Mike Gandy has played way past the original potential we all thought he had when we signed him.

If this the Niners game was indeed his last game, I give much thanks and respect to Mike Gandy.

we know what we have in Bridges, time to see if Keith can play tackle thats all I'm saying. Not taking advantage of a potential learning process the next 2 weeks would be a mistake in my opinion. But, this needs to happen when Warner hits the pine which I'm sure will happen at some point the next 2 games.

Mr. Gandy-----I would hope to see you back next year in good health and available. If that is not in the Cards however, I would thank you for the stellar work you did here, and especially for the effort you have given after your injury. You are a true blue collar worker, one who seldom gets praise, yet gets plenty of blame even when it isn't deserved. You waay more than earned you pay here, and helped solidify a line that was flat terrible when you came here. I hope only for the very best for you and your family, whatever that may be.

He was able to dominate Jared Allen with some help from a RB. I'll take that vs. an unknown ANY DAY!

When they signed Gandy I thought why. I guess that is why we trust in Whiz. Performed way beyond my expectations. I think you will be back but if not good luck in the future.

Note that Keith is higher up on the depth chart then Herman J. When Gandy was on the inactive list for the Minny game It was Keith who the coaches put on the active list as the 7 OLmen not Herman.

Any of these looking like a possibliity?

http://www.footballsfuture.com/2010/fa/ol.html

If we are among the top 8 teams in the NFL during a 2010 uncapped offseason do not expect to sign any free agents with the rules that will be in place.

Gandy and/or Bridges being re-signed will be the best options, and I agree with Mitch that one will sign for the right price.

Keith should get soem time. We've been hearing about his potential for 2 years.Let's see what he can do in somewhat meaningless games to the Cards.

Y'all may recall 10-15 pages of comments of what a bad signing he was....not from me however. I was just about the only voice who thought he would make a ++ contribution..he surely did...and I hope we can see him back again....let's hope the practice squad guys are ready to step in if we don'g sign him back...hate to spend draft choices on one or two tackles again.

Herman Johnson is not a LT and to think otherwise is laughable IMO. Gandy has been pretty damn good and one of the more underrated players on the team the last few years. I sure hope he's resigned.

joe that was one play for Lutui at guard. Keith has more ability at tackle from everything I remembering hearing in camps past. The only way to find out about this kid is throw him to the wolves. I know I've heard Wolfley rave about him.

No, he's talking about when Gandy was out for the Minny game. Whiz has already said that if Gandy and Bridges went down that Levi would go to LT. Since they activated Keith for the game that Gandy missed he is obviously higher on the DC than House.

Gandy's more athletic than bridges. A little better at the 2nd level in terms of run blocking.

But bridges might be a little better in pass protection. Not sure though... need to see him in a few games.

Marcus McNeill, San Diego Chargers (26)

McNeill isnt playing at an elite level this year, but is still an above average left tackle. Hes one of the bigger names at the left tackle position thanks to his spectacular and deservedly-hyped rookie season. McNeill has also been undercompensated the last few years playing on his rookie contract as a 2nd round pick, which may incline him to ask for more money than he deserves. Any of the Chargers could feasibly be had this offseason and McNeill is no different, but with some of the offensive line woes of the Chargers, McNeill may be one of their top priorities. His long-term neck and back problems could be in the back of the teams mind as well.
