Jarvis Jones' health issues dont scare you more? and There is absolutely zero chance Geno makes it past 15 never mind 2nd round.

Jones was cleared medically I heard I think on NFL network or ESPN. I agree Geno doesn't make it to the second round. We need all three positions badly. I watched Geno in a few games this year and I was not that impressed. When I watched Andrew Luck a few games the year before I was confident that he would be good.

Maybe I have not seen enough of Geno to think he will be a franchise QB, but then when I here guys like Mike Mayock say they are not sure either then I tend to trust my eyes as well as the Pro's a little more. Who knows if he will be great or not. I see EJ Manuel in the second round with even more talent but does he have it upstairs. Both Geno and Manuel have all the tools but are they smart enough to be great quarterbacks. That's the big question for me.

Genos biggest attribute is his IQ on and off the field, it is on the pros side of every scouting report I have seen.

No one from the Cards were there but I wouldn't put much into that. I'm sure we had an unofficial scout or something and we can bring him for a private workout.

Tyler Wilson does have it up stairs to be a leader and make great football decisions. Nearly all his critics and supporters agree on that. Watching him speak on TV watching his many games I think he is outstanding NFL prospect. He is also one who will stand in the pocket under fire and take hit after hit if necessary. I think Smith is gone early in 1st round and Wilson maybe but likely in round 2. He often reminds me of Kurt other than he does not have the quick release. He will change call at the line if he does not like what he sees.

Blah.

Folks, I have a feeling it's getting to be about that time to adjust to the idea of Drew Stanton being our starter this year.

Edit: According to CBS Sportsline, there were high-ranking members of Cardinals brass there.

Maybe ESPN forgot we don't have Rod Graves anymore?

I dont think it matter if they were there or not. They could already be convinced hes the pick if there. Dont need to be at his pro day if thats how they feel. WE CAN HOPE!

Early reports from the Mountaineers pro day suggest that QB Geno Smith looked very good as he went through a scripted 64 pass session that included a lot of downfield throws; 28 teams were represented including Jacksonville and Buffalo which both had their G.M.s in Morgantown. Meanwhile, Pittsburgh and Minnesota both reportedly showed the most interest in WR Tavon Austin.

Agree, probably means he is our pick if still there at #7. When it comes to the draft, don't believe anything that is said or done.

Likely to happen - Key Pro Days will be covered by sports networks the same way the combine is now covered by NFLNetwork.

Just because you keep saying it, doesnt make it any more true

I have put the stats out there on his downfield passing, on his TD's greater than 20 yards, etc.

I cant help if you people still claim ignorance. We get it you dont like him, but quit making up crap about him.

I actually like him. I'd probably go for him at #7 if he'd make it. More value than a Guard. I don't think he'll be there, mtl though.

But he did throw behind the LOS a bunch. But he obviously has some talent.

03/14/13 - 2013 West Virginia Pro Day: Thursday's pro day was attended by 28 of 32 NFL teams. The Eagles worked out Smith earlier in the week and ran him through an unrehearsed, full-scale passing workout that exceeded 80 throws. Bills general manager Buddy Nix was present as were high-ranking reps for the Chiefs (No. 1), Jaguars (No. 2), Raiders (No. 3), Browns (6) and Cardinals (7), among others. Any team interested in Smith will want to see more, and get him out of the overpracticed routine he owned at the team's indoor practice facility Thursday. If he can replicate his pro day performance in that next phase of the predraft gauntlet after a solid showing at the scouting combine, Smith solidifies a spot in the top half of the first round. - Jeff Reynolds, The Sports Xchange

Didn't Somers/MJ say nobody from the Cards were there?

I remember reading Kiem went to meet with him and work him out after NCAA season. I think they are hiding interest so Buffalo doesn't trade up.
