Georgia football coach Kirby Smart has added two support staffers to the program including another former assistant who worked under Mark Richt with the Bulldogs.

Former Georgia tight ends and special teams coach John Lilly was on staff in Athens from 2008-2015.

His new role is an “offensive assistant,” according to an announcement from Georgia on Tuesday.

That’s the same title that Phil Rauscher will have.

Rauscher was offensive line coach and run game coordinator for the NFL Jacksonville Jaguars the last three seasons and also worked in staffs in the NFL with Denver, Washington and Minnesota.

Lilly was tight ends coach last season with the Carolina Panthers after serving in that role in college at North Carolina for three years before that.

He also worked in the NFL with the Rams and Browns since leaving Georgia.

Georgia’s current staff includes coaches who worked under Mark Richt: offensive coordinator Mike Bobo, tight ends coach Todd Hartley and offensive line coach Stacy Searels.
