There's nothing wrong with a good hard foul every once in a while if it's not meant to take someone out like that NCAA game when the Duke player got hit or that Temple coach was going to send his thugs in or w/e he said. If it's not like that then there's nothing wrong with some physical basketball, just like it used to be decades ago.
Depends. There are hard fouls (grabbing the guy when he's on his way up for a layup on a fast break) to prevent a layup, and there are hard fouls out of frustration. It is the latter that worries me because that's the one that seems cheap and could cause injury.
