Yep, we tie it up and then give up 2. And it could have been worse (or better).

They scratch 2 across to tie the game and Hudson craps the bed. And those hats with the pink spray paint on top look rediculous.

I'm so aggravated. Hudson has been solid all year but right on cue, right as GOLDY and the offense scrape together some hits and runs, he falls apart and we are 3 outs away from another home loss. I don't even know what to say anymore. This team doesn't know how to win in Chase field. Wow

Automatic win against Peavy tonight.
After the game they're gonna spin Peavy's great performance.

I can explain it 3 words, Dbacks hitting sucks.

It had already started in game. They started raving about how unfortunate it was we had to face the Giants best pitchers. Dude, it's baseball, all the pitchers are tough. The Giants have faced Greinke, Miller and Corbin on the road and haven't used it as an excuse.

This team just keeps finding ways to lose. They are just not a very good ball club right now.

Hale has to sit Ahmed and use him as a late-inning replacement for defense.

Hale's lineups have a lot of "Gibby" in them. He is an improvement over Gibby in that there is no stupid "grit" obsession that is flat out costing us games and players, but the same inconsistency and lack of logic in his lineups.

Also, I'm ready for us to fire another pitching coach... our last couple have been awful. Every since we fired the rather competent Charles Nagy because the imbecile KT decided we were not beaning enough people.

Sunday's batting order . . .

Segura......2B
Owings......SS
Lambe.......3B
Goldy........1B
Castillo.......C
Hermann....CF
Tomás.......LF
Drury........RF
De La Rosa..P

Considering that Peralta is not 100%, I would call this the most potent lineup the D-backs have fielded this season. Hermann is hitting and Ahmed is benched. I am surprised that Drury is batting 8th.

I am also glad to see Goldy moved from 3rd to 4th. I have been hoping for that all season, on a permanent basis, even before we saw how continuous his slump would be.

In the 1st inning, or when the 9th spot makes the last out the previous inning, the opposition might be tempted to pitch to Goldy whether he comes up with two outs and the bases empty or with two outs and a runner on base.

I hope it is more than a day-game-after-a-night-game experiment.

Reminder: Monday's game vs. the Yankees is also a tribute to the late Joe Garagiola.

I haven't heard anything, but I'm thinking Peralta must be farther from 100% than what we're being told? If he can't even pinch hit, seems to me we'd be better off putting him on the DL, get him healthy, and get a bat up here.

They put him on the 15day DL this morning. Michael Bourne was brought up.

Ugh, another loss. When we hit, we cant pitch. When we pitch, we cant hit.

Great outing by Rubby today. Drury continues to hit, hit, hit.

Mortgaged our future only to be pushing for the cellar in the division. Imagine what this team will look like in a few years. Gross.

Drury: 4 for 4 in the 8 spot. Some on this board would have grilled Gibby for this. But no, Hale does not use the "grit" word so it is OK. In fact he is the most competent DBack manager ever. Really?
