Or Peralta if he ever gets gealthy.

Yep... But I see Drury as a more pure power hitter than Peralta. If he can eventually develop and get comfortable at a major league hitter, Drury can be consistent 30-35 HR guy. I think Peralta can be more of a high batting average hitter who, at best can average 20, maybe 25 HR's... Which wouldn't suck at all!!

Pollack should be a 20 hr guy too.
1-5 should be Pollack, Peralta, Goldy, Lamb, and Drury.

No - gotta have Segura as lead off. IMO, the best lineup when everyone is healthy should be:

Segura
Pollack
Goldy
Drury
Peralta
Lamb
Owings (second base)
Castillo/Hermann
Pitcher

Hate to keep disagreeing with you, but... A healthy Pollack and Peralta wouldn't not overcome the issues with Miller, Corbin, Ray, Bradley, and so many others... [emoji30]

I have never seen a player with worst plate discipline than O'Brien.

I have seen a lot of little league kids do better. Send him back down before he's destroyed forever.

Peralta and Lamb, two lefties, back to back. 'Not a good idea. I am surprised how Lamb has turned into a power hitter. He, not Goldy, is leading the team in HR's and RBI's. Goldy's bat came to life when Lamb did the same, batting cleanup. You don't mess with that protection for Goldy.

So, it's
Segura (especially now that he is drawing walks along with his .300 BAVG)
Pollock
Goldy
Lamb

Then
Drury or whoever else is playing LF
Peralta (6th only to break up the lefties)
Castillo or Hermann
Owings (but it will probably be Ahmed)

I don't like Peralta batting 7th. And I have liked the idea of Goldy batting cleanup for some time.

How about

Segura
Pollock
Peralta
Goldy
Lamb
LF
Castillo or Hermann
Owings or Ahmed

That is batting the lefties 3rd, 5th and 7th. Pretty balanced.

Personally, as long as Hermann is hitting well, I would move him to #1 Catcher because he is much better at handling the pitching staff than Castillo and our pitching staff needs handling. That would probably mean trading Castillo.

Ray gets a lot of strike outs but he usually gives up 4-5 runs in the process.

One thing I would really like to see from this season going forward...

People learning how to spell Pollock.

You don't think a healthy Pollack and Peralta are worth 5 wins? I know the pitching has been bad but 5 more wins puts them in the mix for the last wild card.

Maybe when he comes back and actually plays and we see his name on the tv we might start spelling it corectally.

A starting pitching staff where #2-5 don't routinely give up close to a run per inning (4 in 5 innings) seems to be a much higher priority than competing for the last Wild Card spot.

A healthy Pollock and Peralta would be wonderful, but a #2-5 who are not at the AAA+ level is essential. The effects are far reaching. They are killing our bullpen four out of every five games.
