Giants going to attack the football and not Warner but the ball when he has it and also DRC who got roasted by Peyton manning as this article says that peyton has relayed information to his brother eli on how to attack our pass defense with success.

This article seems to say the giants are one of the best ever in breaking down other team main weaknesses.Don't go hiding under the bedsheets after you read it though. We put our pants on the same way they do...one leg at a time and I don't think Coach Whiz fell of a collard truck anytime soon.

I expect a fullsize gameplan like the one used in last weeks game verses the seahags. The team should be loose and only Boldin will be a gametime decision and he will practice Friday as he's come along very well this week.

Of course many N.Y.ers think this will be a comeback game for the giants as the kill the CARDINALS after getting CRUSHED last week. Why would'nt these overconfident arse's feel any different than that? I'm sure they did'nt see what hit them last week either. They won't again come Sunday Night.I'm sure we're gonna really focus on stopping Hixon who single handedly won the game for the giants last year in the NEST.That and punt returns will be crucial for the game.I'm hoping they don't have an answer for the HOWLER on special teams as he is always on top of the tackle if Will Davis is'nt.Plus Highsmith is trying to get back his special team status also.I don't think Ware can have the same game he had last year again on special teams. He's learned to tackle since then.

I hope this attitude that comes from this writer flows through the giants team and they will be 2 games down in 2 weeks. The eagles picking up Witherspoon to be the new MLB was practically stealing in the NFL as the lambs just gave him away. Can't figure it out.As long as it gives the giants more heartache this season I guess Spags is all for it.

unfortunately for them, DRC has been nothing short of excellent since the Indy game.

You mean Antonio Rogers-Cromartie right?

lol

If so, you’ll know Indy did a good job of flooding the zone near Cards CB Antonio Rodgers-Cromartie.....

This is going to be a very tough game for us to win and Peyton did carve us up very badly. Eli is no Peyton but the G-Men (not the fans) are taking us very seriously, I like the optimism but I just hope we don't lay an egg like we did against Indy!

I don't think this four is talented enough to put enough pressure on Kurt all by themselves. They have fallen back in the abilities they once possessed. Can a butt whooping bring all that back? They did'nt get to Bree's once.

Would'nt you have thought the new DC would have at least dialed up one blitz due to that factor alone? They are so paper thin in the secondary and the talent thats there is what dictated why they could'nt afford to bring anyone on a rush.

We'll get the same defensive coverage the saints got then and Bree's ripped it to shreds. Why can't our better recievers without a rush not do the same?

I wish we had a column in the betting pool that asked if the giants will send a blitz this Sunday.I'd be all in on that one alone. The saints offensive line is nothing world shaking.Osi is 250lbs soaking wet and has a bumb shoulder.Tuck is not playing up to his potential,or he was overplaying it before.

Tuck is the best of the 3 DE's and he's not in the same area code as EITHER defensive end the Colts have.Neither of them. Now thats pure speed.Tuck from Notre Dame is a lot more muscle moves that he'll have to wrestle it out with Gandy and Levi Brown.

I'm sure this week at least they will move them around to try and get different looks up front. But Robbins and Cole are not even as good as Mebane was who we played last week for the seahags. The giants are missing the top two Free agent pickups they signed in the offseason and one of them was the best DT from the seahags and the other is Canty from the cowboys.

Neither of them are playing this week.I wish the awe factor of the giants front four could produce sacks against the saints, but it did'nt.Nothing close. If Warner is getting the ball out in 2.2 seconds they'll never touch him.

If we are able to run the ball then we will start to set up play action that will give Warner time to even go further down field.Of which Brees only did 3 times all last sunday.Just 3 times and all three came up BIG.

If Gandy can't handle a guy 250lbs and hurting then we need to get Bridges in immediately.Same for Levi.Without a blitz up the middle I just don't see it happening. This is not the colts and peyton can give his lil' brother all the tips he wants to about the CARDINALS he played on that Sunday night but its not the same team anymore.

It seems quite a few of you really expect a major beatdown on the CARDINALS on Sunday Night.Thats okay.Everyone to their own opinion and reasons why.I just don't see how, without bringing extra men on 'D'.Plus our guys on 'D' really want to shut the run down again.Last week was awesome at 14 yards but they don't expect that with Jacobs & Bradshaw who put the boot back on today due to his ankle injury.Jacobs has been very slow out of the blocks this year also with no big runs as he had last season.Thats against losing teams also.

I see it coming down to special teams and turnovers and maybe Rackers foot myself. The rain is gonna be gone.:)

the giants defense struggles against balanced offensive football teams. clearly that was a problem for them against N.O. Dallas put 200 yards on the ground on them as well. I think the cards need to run the ball in this game or they will try to pin their ears back on kurt. clearly from what we saw last week...if the cards can protect warner the giants will give up some plays downfield.

the cards D does a great job stopping the run and that will be key in this game. when the giants run game is stuffed they tend to struggle on offense. certainly they can overcome with ELI, but they are out of their comfort zone when the run game is taken away.

We don't have the Saints line...they match up better against us than they did against the Saints

I'm not saying that they don't call a blitz the entire game just that they can get pressure without it in the main and so it wont be the mainstay of thier gameplan.

The Giants LBs bit hard on the Saints play action because the Saints have a running game....something we as yet haven't brought to the table.

but I agree if we can play well cut out mistakes protect Warner and play good pass defence we can win this...the good thing as well is its the late game which helps reduce the east coast factor as last year in the playoffs against the Panthers

BINGO!

There is the key to the game. If the Giants can pressure with just their front 4, we are in for a looooong day.
We will know by the end of the first quarter. I just hope Whiz has us coming out winging it. I'd come out no huddle and try to wear their them out, limit their substitution and packages.

The thing that pee'd me off the most against Indy is it seemed we were playing to keep the ball out of Mannings hands. That would be a big mistake again. Our offense will not and should not be expected to sustaing 12 and 14 play drives against this defense. We will need to have some big plays. A couple of 5 plays 60 yard drives is the way to beat this team.

That means some deep throws early on downs. I don't want to see us run on 1st down for 2 yards, incomplete on 2nd down and leave us with 3rd and long. Of course I forgot to mention the 5 yard penalties we will have to overcome when Brown jumps offsides or holds.

This is going to be a very tough game. It's going to take a flawless effort. No turnovers, very few penalties and solid special teams. If we don't do all 3 of those things we will drop to 3-3.

This may turn out to be the week Beanie's given the chance to shine.

If you check out the individual ratings of Giant defensive linemen, their DT's rate in the negatives and they're not as tough against the inside run as they used to be cracked up to be.

What you may find Warner trying to do is to whipsaw Giant DE's and DT's by either - depending on the presnap read - (a) running Beanie or THT right up the gut or (b) working the perimeters with quick passes designed to make their DE's tire themselves out chasing plays to the outside.

And then (when he's got the Giants thinking inside-outside laterally, (c) throw deep off play-action fakes.

The saints only threw the ball 3 times from the play action motion in the whole game. All of course were successfull but it was only 3 times. This was in one of the articles I posted this week.So Don't think the saints lived off of the play action pass.

We're gonna use Becht and Patrick to slow the 4 man rush and make them bring the house. When they do we'll take what is given, and what Warner finds open. The open man always gets the ball.Maybe we can get the ball to 9 people again.Warner is not choosy.

I just don't think play action is the key to winning this game. We're gonna run the ball whether we are successfull at it or not. That lesson was learned BIGTIME already this season in the texans game and won't be repeated again.
