Drew's footwork on the DP in the 4th made me rewind and watch it again. What a thing of beauty.

Great win. Take the series and now have a day off before the Marlins.

HUGE series win! Quentin made an unbelievable catch in RF and Drew had another RBI triple. Livan makes Dback debut Friday against FLA followed by Webby's return on Saturday

Great win here, I loved that catch! It also put us in a good position in the playoff race and hopefully with our top pitchers going in the next series we should climb up the standings even more.

So they said that Vargas will keep his starting job and not Cruz. I really like Cruz, but I support this decision. Cruz is the better pitcher but until he improves his control he won't be able to pitch many innings. He is good so having him in the bullpen will help rest some of the overworked relievers. Also switching him with someone like Livan who can pitch more innings does help. I'd like to see Juan Cruz back in the rotation later on but it would be even better if Vargas gets hot for the stretch run like he was last year when we got him.

Pretty fun watching this kid in action. He's a can't miss star in this league.

Great glove. Great footwork. Great mechanics at the plate.

This team is going to terrorize the NL West real soon.

I loved Julio's reaction when he struck out Bonds.

Good job too win the series against a rival, it's always good to beat another NL West team, but I love when we beat the Giants and Dodgers.

There were a lot of things to like tonight. Even though Batista looked like he was laboring a lot he managed to get out of a lot of jams. Byrnes had a couple of real strong throws, Quentin had an excellent defensive play where he tracked down a long fly (complete with a spiderman-like grab onto the outfield wall afterwards), and Julio had a great outing. Thanks to the Padres and the Dodgers losing we also gained some ground in the playoff hunt.

Question on a play earlier in the game: the Giants had men on first and second and the batter with zero outs hit into a double play (erasing the man that was on first). For some reason, the umpire made the runner now on third go back to second, why? I was at the game tonight so I couldnt hear it on the tv or radio, but from what I was told, the tv guys didnt know either.

It was a good catch but it really was kind of routine, only a poor defender would have not made the play! Drews at bat in the 8th was a thing of beauty  That was one sweet swing!

As it was explained on the radio - Hillenbrand slid into the second basemen with his arm extended towards him - clearly interferrence. Therefore, they would not let the runner advance to home from third. Giants didn't complain to much, it was obvious... according to the radio guys.
