He's doing well, just gave up a run, but that's okay Curt, you're rocking tonight!

A couple days ago I was joking to someone that they ought to staple his tendon together - well, reportedly they actually put in stitches to tighten the skin and hold the tendon in place from sliding across the bone - talk about giving your all!

The commentators mentioned the real risk for Curt was the tendon rubbing across the bone could rupture, which would potentially be career-ending at his age. They interviewed 'Tek afterwards and he said he worried about Curt really hurting himself on every pitch.
They are really treating this like a war.

You know that old question - if you had to pick one guy to pitch a game your life depended on...? I think we know the answer.

Joe Jr's "intelligence" once again comes back to bite the DBacks in the ass. Seriously, the DRays got a better deal for Victor Zambrano than we got for Curt Schilling.

I still haven't figured out why we gte rid of the top pitcher in the game because of salary and then went out and traded for a bat who would command just as much salary.

But - I still can't complain - the D-Backs gave me the greatest moment of my sporitng life and I was there in person to see Game 7 so I will stick to my vow - they can get rid of the team tomorrow and I still couldn't say a bad word about them . . . but then again - baseball isn't my passion as far as sports go either.

Unbelievable performance by Schilling - he just completely cemented his legend as far as big game pitchers are concerned.

Yep - I sat there last night shaking my head in disbelief - both at Schilling's guts, and at Joe's flaming incompetence. Muttering over and over to myself, "Casey effing Fossum... Brandon effing Lyons..."

SO! IF the Sox win tonight and IF they win the WS - both big ifs - I think we take a page out of attorneys' books: When they settle a case or complete a deal that is very large for corporate clients, they can tack on "value added" fees after the fact.

WE should get a "value added" bonus player from Theo, and I propose we get Dustin Pedroia! He's hitting .316 in AZFL, playing very competent SS and 2nd base, and I overheard some scout-types saying he was very likely to get a serious look in ST for possible mid-season call-up next year, that the BoSox really like him. We'll never see Drew in a DBacks uni, so kiss that one bye bye and make Theo do the honorable thing. Moorad ought to be able swing that, eh? :D

I was there for Game 7 as well. I concur with the feeling. A championship is a beautiful thing.
