Why oh why did they make him look like the horrible Godzilla 2000 version. Not going to give a dime to this because of that.

That looks nothing like G2k, unless you're referring to the Tristar GINO ('98)? Even then it looks nothing like GINO.

Fear not. The Director gets it. He won't disappoint.

"An epic rebirth to Toho’s iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure pits the world’s most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence"—Legendary Pictures.[7]/

Link to their Comic Con test footage. There definitely looks to be another (dead) monster in it.

Still my favorite rumor about this movie:

http://collider.com/godzilla-guillermo-del-toro-pacific-rim/

Here’s the basic sequence of events:

Legendary Pictures acquires the rights to Godzilla with plans for a 2012 film

Legendary Pictures buys a spec script from Travis Beacham (Clash of the Titans) titled Pacific Rim, “set in a future in which malevolent creatures threaten the earth, the planet must band together and use highly advanced technology to eradicate the growing menace.”

Legendary Pictures retrofits the Pacific Rim script into their planned Godzilla reboot, confirming the rumored presence of multiple monsters

Legendary Pictures offers the director’s chair on the Zilla-fied Pacific Rim to none other than Guillermo del Toro

Clearly he makes landfall in San Francisco at night. Then it looks like he works his way down through California's Ag counties. Then he hits Vegas.

From there, it is hard to tell where he goes, cause it looks like he has another ocean battle. Did he cut all the way across the US? That's be pretty epic.

not a big fan of Godzilla movies, but these are really good trailers and make me want to see it on the big screen.

If I remember correctly, Tokyo, Hawaii, Cali (SF), Vegas are the places/cities that get wasted.

This is gonna be good.

Which is also fake, because as we all know, there isn't desert and mountain behind the head of the statue of liberty.

could be if all the buildings behind it were reduced to rubble by Godzilla.

That's kind of what it looked like.

You can kind of make out the roller coaster behind it (very lower left corner), similar to the one above. So if they took the time to edit that in, I suppose the buildings behind it are no more?

Here is a comparison. The one on the right is the real statue in NYC.

I think there are multiple monsters in this movie (not completely sure)... This last trailer has some quick images of a creature that has the same coloration as Godzilla. But one scene looks like a creature taking a step with their wing (like a western dragon) and then another shot where the creature is falling into the ocean and it has a large pincer like tail... A second flying creature would also explain the F-22 Raptors falling out of the sky...
