I like to think I believe in this team as much as any diehard fan but even if we win next week, I think that's it for us. We're clearly out of miracles and all that is left is reality. Yes, teams can squeak into the playoffs and go far - but not with the QB and depleted roster that we have. Glorious season though. Crazy stuff....

Almost a certainty that we're going to draw the crappy early Saturday game slot, which is not even on network TV this year.
So one less day to prepare, travel to the east coast, and an early game on ESPN.

No, they're not. If Lindley give us the same exact performance as today we'll blast Carolina. They have very few offensive weapons.

Is anybody planning on going to the game? I'm going to try and get tickets and go. Last time we beat them was a blast. This time will even be more fun.

You think?? What about the Seattle and 9er games suggest the matchup with Carolina is a good one? Because in Carolina, we are seeing essentially the same thing we've seen from the Hags and Whiners... And that didn't turn out so swell. Not to mention Greg Olson had 84 catches and over 1,000 yards this year... But I have faith in Foote/Minter/Bucannon/Johnson to stop him... Eeeeesh...

Carolina isn't remotely in Seattle and SF's class. They beat 4 lousy teams to win a lousy division.
Yes. They will have to set the tempo of the game and shut down Cam from running, not leaving WR's wide open and not giving up huge plays.

Because the Panthers are much less disciplined version of those two teams and don't have the ability to spread their offense very wide. Olson will get his, but shutting down Benjamin and the RBs will be key. The defense needs to play like it had been prior to Week 16 to have a chance.

I think our next game would be against?????

Now here is where my conspiracy theory kicks in, at that point we should have Stanton back and if we do then I think we might just run the ball down their throats because that is how you beat them but that is a lot more likely to work since we mysteriously never tried that last time.
If you think about it if we have him back and given what we did last time and given that beating them requires them making some mistakes, then it's perfectly setup. They see Stanton is back, figure we're going to throw on them, figure our defense will play sucky and instead they get a heavy dose of Williams and our defense decides to show up and we crush them in their own house and pee on their parade.
We win that game and we're in the Championship game.
If the team shows up like it can we could win that game and then well...
Just a fun thought.

Carolina beat exactly 1 playoff team: Detroit. Their 4 game winning streak to end the season came at the expense of Tampa, New Orleans, Cleveland, and Atlanta. Other than that, their other 2 wins came from Tampa and Chicago and they tied Cincy. Since Palmer went down we beat Detroit and KC. Carolina sucks.

Believe it or not there is still a razor slight chance we host the NFC Championship game if both we and Detroit win out.

I would say that IF Bowles and the Defense play the same scheme against Carolina as they did against Seatlle and San Francisco, this game will not be fun for Cardinals fans to watch. If we simply blitz everyone right past the QB, and have no contain, we (will not win this game). Some how, someone on the defense needs to decide that we need to stop the run (period). We need to contain the RB and the QB and force the QB to try and beat us with his arm. With this secondary, if we do that we have a chance. If we do not contain their QB, or if we let them run on us to wear our Defense down, we will have a very hard time winning in Carolina.

Cardinals are gonna beat Carolina imo but they will lose to whoever they play after.
Cardinals are going to win. I think Bruce Arians is better coach than Ron "Riverboat" Rivera.

What ever happens this has been a great season, I know we are all on downer at the moment and we have been dealt a crappy hand injury wise, but let's enjoy it this. Its playoff football and I have spent the majority of my 30 years following this team looking in on teams in our position right now.
