Annnnddd what time slot would have been preferable? Is our record in night games so great that that is what you want?

Sorry, I was merely quoting "TheHopToad" calling the early time slot on Saturday "crappy" in his previous post.....the time slot itself is not crappy, it's just that is the time slot the Networks think will get the "crappy" ratings.....they could play at 3am on Tuesday and I wouldn't care!

Carolina beat exactly 1 playoff team: Detroit. Their 4 game winning streak to end the season came at the expense of Tampa, New Orleans, Cleveland, and Atlanta. Other than that, their other 2 wins came from Tampa and Chicago and they tied Cincy. Since Palmer went down we beat Detroit and KC. Carolina sucks.

Carolina humiliated the team that humiliated us. Goes to show you can't take too much from week to week results.

It's a new season.

Because the Panthers are much less disciplined version of those two teams and don't have the ability to spread their offense very wide. Olson will get his, but shutting down Benjamin and the RBs will be key. The defense needs to play like it had been prior to Week 16 to have a chance.

Well.. I'll say this, if our defense not only shows up, but scores - I like our chances. Otherwise, I really don't see us scoring more than 10 points at best...

I would say that IF Bowles and the Defense play the same scheme against Carolina as they did against Seatlle and San Francisco, this game will not be fun for Cardinals fans to watch. If we simply blitz everyone right past the QB, and have no contain, we (will not win this game). Some how, someone on the defense needs to decide that we need to stop the run (period). We need to contain the RB and the QB and force the QB to try and beat us with his arm. With this secondary, if we do that we have a chance. If we do not contain their QB, or if we let them run on us to wear our Defense down, we will have a very hard time winning in Carolina.

IMO, the last two games we have been the most conservative of the entire season when it came to blitzing. Now, we still played tons of man even when rushing 4, which means runners like Wilson and Kaepernick will burn you. We did NOT spy Wilson or Kaepernick very much. I think that's the main adjustment Bowles will make for this game. We have to spy Newton if we want to play man coverage.

Pretty irritated frankly. Not with the media, they do what they do, and who do we have as a superstar to talk about compared to Cam Newton.

But from our own fans, I'm irritated. This is a team that won 7 damn games.

People be like but they won 4 in a row or whatever. Look at their competition man. Look at their division, a division of absolute suck.

Then they're like but we're on a losing streak. Yeah, two games against Seattle, best team in the league, and I read a stat that nobody who has played Seattle won the following week, all year (!!!!) , because they beat you down so hard, so we go to Atlanta and lose, then we lose to San Francisco. Not a crime.

All better competition than the Panthers played at any time this year.

And we won 11 games to their 7, on a tougher schedule.

I don't mind being dissed, I expect it, just not from our own fans.

We will dominate this game.

No question in my mind.

And I hope when BA goes to the podium he says well yeah 11-5 team against a 7-8-1 team (haha) wtf you guys thinking?

I'll be at the game as well. Making the 11-hour drive from St. Louis on Friday.
Wasn't able to make it for the playoff game in 2008, but did get to see my first ever Cardinals victory in-person at that stadium in 2001 (broke my lifetime 0-7 streak). Now I hope to see my first Cardinals post-season victory in-person there this weekend (I'm 0-2 all-time).

I'm with ya on this Dark. I think the Cards should win this one and not by some fluke. They
will beat them fair and square. And with Lindley at the tiller, I don't know what else fair and square could be.

You must have had something to drink tonight like I have. This doesn't make any sense at all.

Cardinals are going to win. I think Bruce Arians is better coach than Ron "Riverboat" Rivera.

No doubt about that. I think Rivera is a pretty lousy coach. But, that's not the issue. Our D seems to have been solved the past couple of weeks. If Carolina scores 17 points, we probably can't win. We have such a small margin for error. Let's hope the D shows up ready to play. It's our only chance

Is anybody planning on going to the game? I'm going to try and get tickets and go. Last time we beat them was a blast. This time will even be more fun.

I'm heading to Carolina, but wrong part. I'll be in Outer Banks, watching the game from the beach. Too bad the temps are likely to be in the 40's.

Go Cards!!!

Took a look at the flights PHX-CLT-PHX ... almost $1k from Fri-Sun

511 if you book to RDU and back to SMF via US airways. Both flights have a plane change in Charlotte. Get off and dont take any bags. Airlines will not like this a bit.

Better yet, book one way trips.

LoL, being a corp. travel agent I will let you know this is highly frowned upon by the airlines and they will cancel your return flight if you are a no-show on any of the flight segments.

BUT .. if you book 2 separate one way tickets, then no harm, no foul :)

The downside is that you pay a lot higher fare$

I am flying into Raleigh and driving 2 hours to Charlotte. I was able to get round trip tickets with a car for $500. I have to have layovers and fly late at night, but it is worth it to save money.

Good move....wish I was going. Biggest regret was not going to Dallas in 99
