The Good: just noticed that it is very conceivable that the Seahawks could start the season 0-2, opening on the road against the Rams and Packers. Wouldn't that help our cause.
The Bad: I'm sorry, but I just can't seem to buy into Palmer's prospective health and durability. I simply have too bad of a feeling about his age and bum knee. I know all the hype is positive right now, but I have experience with bum knees and his age. I will be shocked if he makes it through the season, and even more shocked if he makes it through his contract. Unless our new upgraded OL shines and gives him Manning or Brady type of protection all year, I will continue to have my doubts, cringing with every twist, turn, and collision he is subjected to.
The Good: They say Ellington is looking like his old self again, darting and dashing all over the field. Let's just hope his "old self" doesn't include his history of injuries also. I'm glad we drafted Johnson, and won't be surprised if he is given a lot more work this season than anyone of us would expect.
The Bad: How much of a step backward will our defense take? With a new defensive coordinator and different players in the middle and up front, it is hard to say. We will definitely need Palmer to make up some of the difference on offense that our D might relinquish over previous years.
The Good: John Brown may have a breakout season with more attempts going his way via a healthy Palmer. He could become the most exciting player on our team.
The Bad: Will Floyd take a huge step forward and become worthy of such a high draft choice? With Fitz winding down his stellar career, will we be in need of spending a high draft pick to replace him soon, or could Floyd eventually fill his shoes? Me thinks this season will answer that question fully.
The Good: I think we are all excited about seeing our "new" fully loaded OL. Wouldn't it be wonderful to see open holes for our RBs to strut through, along with a brick wall for our QB to stand up tall and straight behind?
The Bad: Like usual, so goes our team depending on our OL. Another preseason where we are working to solidify the right side. Each year we begin with higher hopes, and each year we end feeling lacking in that area. Could this be the year that the injury bug ignores us and we finally get it right?
