50% completion. 306 yards. 1 TD 1 INT. Yeah, it was a good game for him
my favorite stat though is *2*. Skelton was only sacked twice. If we can continue to keep the sacks down, I think our QBs can look almost competent
lmao. Now let's not get carried away. 2:5 TD:INT ratio is something he desperately needs to fixThe last 3 games Skelton has passed for a combined 858 yards. That projects to 4,576 yards for 16 games! That's only 7 yards less than Warner had in his best season ever as a Cardinal. If Double Deuce played at that level for 10 more years he'd be the Cards all-time passing leader by over 10,000 yards.

Maybe I'm the only one, but I saw improvement.
He used to sail passes high, but for the most part they were dead on. Hard to put up good QB numbers when your WR's drop everything.
And while I really like LSH, he has no business running the ball on 3rd and short up the middle. I don't understand why Alphonso Smith did not touch the ball in those situations.
I don't understand why Sherman doesn't run the ball in short yardage!!!!!!!
It's the typical Skelton game. 50% completion is unacceptable. He hits 60%, were talking about close to 400 and 3 tds.

He was better, but he is still a bad NFL qb.....not even close to being in the top 20 of all starters.
Well I am sure if you watched Eli Manning today and applied the same standard you do for Skelton you would say that Manning should be cut.
I'm not saying he's our guy. Far from it actually. But he did have a good game for him. He needs to improve on his accuracy. I think we all know that. I'm just giving credit where I feel it's dueIt's the typical Skelton game. 50% completion is unacceptable. He hits 60%, were talking about close to 400 and 3 tds.

I was really disapointed with our DB's this game. William Gay is really bad. Fleming at least is a rookie and I expect him to have a learning curve, but all of them had bad plays. Even Adrian Wilson blew the tackle that allowed a TD. I still think William Powell should be the starter until Beanie gets back. LSH is just too small to run up the middle for short yardage.
We must've been watching different games.
John Skelton again couldn't get anything going until we were already down. He's a one or two read and throw QB.
When do either of our QBs have time to make more than 1 or 2 reads? I don't understand the talk about going through progressions. With our offensive line there are no progressions. It's look for the primary receiver as called by the coaches and if its not there look for the checkdown.
What Skelton does wrong is try to force the ball to the covered primary receiver and he has real trouble reading the defense before the snap. So he throws interceptions or doesn't check out of a bad matchup call.
What the rest of the offense does wrong is not get separation or block anybody. It's why the offense hasn't scored more than 17 points in their last 5 games or more than 21 points in 37 of their last 41 games.
