(well ok it now afternoon here but you get the picture)

i have had time to calm down now - i hope you have also following the posts last night! anything and everything got the balme from the obvious OL problems to not being loud enough at home!

can we have a positive thread or two now before the lambs come to town!

Try to throw in a few observations with some goods and bads....the goods hopefully the positive stuff English might be lookin for:

Bad

(1) Even though I said I wouldn't whine....False Start City is an unfair place for opposing teams. All teams should have such an advantage (unrealistic I know).

(2) The o-line sucks.

(3) Warner was less than accurate (sacks and hurries tend to cause that I know).

(4) Too many tackles by the secondary.


Good

(1) With Bryant Johnson we may just have the top 3 receivers in the league....not just the top two.

(2) The o-line HAS TO get better (Doesn't it?).

(3) Even though his stats sucked I liked the way Edge ran.

(4) I saw a hard hitting defense that coupled with an effective offense could lead us to great things. After game one I thought we didn't have the D. It looked like we came to play D yesterday....in fact we were down right nasty and that's the way you play D. Game one D was an abberation just like game two O....next week it all comes together as we smash the Rams.

I really like what Hysen, Kavanagh and Liam Miller have shown so far. I think that once Dwight Yorke gets settled in this team will really go!

I hope so! I agree that in the first game it appeared we had lost our D, then yesterday, we couldn't find any offense!

The good........uhhhhh.......well, the PLAYERS never quit.
The defense stiffened after first 2 possesions.
The Rams lost.


The bad.
Play calling and clock management. With 5:51 left to play, even 3 incomplete passes would have only burnt up 15 to 20 seconds and we would have not used up our last time out.
EVEN IF YOU DECIDE TO RUN THE BALL, WOULD IT NOT HAVE BEEN WISE TO CALL 2 PLAYS AND GO WITH NO HUDDLE?
Penalties.
Turnovers. Bergens fumble and Warners muffed snap killed us.
