I know there's a lot of Cardinal baseball fans on here and this year our BEST player...our heart and soul guy...our "difference-maker"...Yadier Molina went down with a thumb injury that required surgery. He was out of the line-up for close to 40 games and at the time of his injury many said the Cardinals were TOAST!

Flash-forward to today...the Cards overcame the hand they'd been dealt and have clawed their way to 1st place...3 games ahead of 2nd place Milwaukee.

Injuries are an inevitability... but I trust BASK and the guys on this team to find a way to overcome them. That's what GOOD teams do!

In comparing FB losses to BB, remember that there are 53/45 FB players who suit up every week, but in BB only eight position players play. So comparisons are apples to oranges. JMO.

We have been hit hard this year. Some teams just don't have the injury bug as bad as others.

This makes a big difference in close games where the little things can cause you to lose.

It's going to be tough to get to 8-8 this year. BA has his work cut out for him.
