Is anyone else trying out Google's new internet browser? I am a huge Google fan so I figured I would try it out for a while here during its Beta stages. So far I really like how smoothly it runs as well as the looks of it. Very similar to FireFox in that it takes up less RAM to run so it appears to run quicker than IE7. The only thing I really don't like about it is that I have really got used to the little search location that IE7 added. But there are already talks that Google will add that in with their final update of the program.

On that same note, DO NOT upgrade to IE8. If you are running Windows XP on your computer IE8 will actually have a bigger memory footprint than Windows XP does running. Microsoft added too many things to the new IE in hopes of pulling people away from Firefox and to fight Google, instead they have created such a draining web browser its damn near unuseable.

Will Google's browser help me block all of Google's ads?

Tried it, not going to switch permanently. I'll stick to Firefox.

Shovel bump.

I have to use Chrome at work next week and I haven't used it before.

After going thru a short youtube tutorial on it, I think it blows doors off all other browsers.

Liking it :raccoon:

Chrome has gotten massively better over the last few years. I think Firefox still has some better features, but Chrome in my experience with some environments runs smoother.

Firefox is the only one I will use. Haven't tried Chrome yet but thinking of buying a chrome laptop. Guess I will find out soon.

If you are thinking about buying a chrome laptop, I would first install the browser on your current computer and try it out to see if you like it.

Chrome is AMAZINGLY Light, and has a ton of great extensions.

1. Pushbullet. Free app on android and allows you to quickly send links, pics, etc from computer to phone.

2. Google voice. Amazing.

Tons more.

I have been through IE, Firefox, and now Chrome. Chrome wins hands down.

What extensions do you use/recommend?

There are a ton out there that are great. I use Adblock Plus, Click&Clean, Magic actions for youtube, Reddit enhancement Suite.

Security flaws in Google Chrome could enable attackers to capture personal data stored in the browser's history files, researchers said Friday.

In a blog posted last week, researchers at security firm Identity Finder outlined methods for accessing personal data from Chrome's History Provider Cache, even if the data has been entered on a secure website. Some data also may be accessible through Chrome's Web Data and History databases, the researchers say.

The vulnerabilities in Chrome have been known for some time, but the researchers say that their proofs of concept are the first to demonstrate the ease with which attackers could access and steal personal information.

Chrome is a sloppy browser that puts you at risk. Check out this link to see all the current vulnerability list. They also make it a development nightmare since they want all your personal data when you surf through their browser. If you think the NSA is bad, google has nothing on them.

I am pretty sure a company like Microsoft would not put out false information at the risk of lawsuite. All companies have issues, but google is the most unethical with the way it handles user data in my opinion.

Chrome is the best browser, IMO.

Then Firefox is 2nd.

The extensions I have:

Adblock Plus
Better History
Dropbox
EasyDrop
IE Tab Multi
Image Cropper
LastPass
PanicButton
Session Buddy
Social fixer for Facebook

Your bookmarks and histories automatically sync with your Android platforms.

I love chrome but I can't use it anymore because it's constantly crashing because of Flash. I've done every bit of advice they have out there to solve the problem but it still crashes at least once a day.

If you google it you'll see it's quite common.

I used Chrome for a while. DIdn't like it so went back to Firefox - can't recall why I dropped it, but it was enough for me to go back to Firefox.

Is there a browser that doesn't crash all the time because of Flash?

If I am streaming from mlb.com, what browser do I want to use?

Those are the ones I use, too, but Flash crashes a lot. Guess there's nothing I can do about it. :(
