Correct. I was referring to when players hit optimal performance in their career. Usually this is easily visible by reviewing career stats.

OK, if it's so visible then why wasn't this predicted? And again, if it's so visible, is he at a peak? Remember, this is "easily" visible.

since this is Bledsoe's second stint with knee issues, is he also looking to be chronically injured?

Sure, it's a concern. I just didn't mention Bledsoe as I don't think he belongs in the top tier, even without injuries.

It's not a predictor. However, I think most players gradually improve, reach their highest plateau and then start to decline. I think player stats will usually show such a trend.

I think the main difference between Dragic now and Dragic last year is the confidence.

He was always fast, but he always had someone he could turn to a more experienced player like Nash to push the final burden to and when he was the one in charge and he was not hot at the very start he just sucked the whole game.

Basically all hopes and eyes of Slovenian national team were on him last summer so he adapted to the pressure and did a wonderful job. The rest of the team did an amazing job too despite or main center Erazem Lorbek and Beno f... Udrih being missing from the team which are quality wise our best players besides Dragic.

Also when he was not doing 20+ points the rest of the team were excellent using the open shots especially his brother Zoran. I think Zoran has the potential to be the better of them if someone would have drafted him in the NBA.

Anyway he learned a lot how to handle the pressure and responsibility of being the lead player in a team in my opinion.

The statement above just makes the line below even more ironic:

Goran Dragic is probably the worst Suns starting PG in 25 years, but thats not saying he's terrible, the Suns have had insanely good PG play.

Trust me. There have been a lot more ironic statements made about this year's team than that. If Suns fans were in charge of this team, it would be the worst team of all time.

I have a running debate in my office (Jazz Fans) about Goran's rank among PGs in the League. At the start of the year, I made the argument that Goran was a top 10-12 talent... now he is Top 5 with me.

Here is my list on the only PGs I would choose over him: Westbrook, Curry, Parker, and Paul. Noticeably absent - Rose (I don't think he will ever be Rose circa 2011 again), Lilard and Wall (he shots better than both), and Rhondo.

I love the kid! He is having a great year.

I'd take Lilard and Wall over him simply because they're both MUCH younger then he is and they're both ballers. Also Wall has more pure point in him then Goran, averaging 2.8 more dimes per game.

Pretty much agree here, but curious--what exactly is a "baller," and why does that make Lillard and Wall better than Goran? Is Goran not a "baller?"

no clue. didn't even mean to suggest he's not one, but they're ballers and younger, thus I put them ahead.

Not that I disagree with the list, but man, how far has Kyrie Irving's stock fallen with the general public. Guaranteed at the start of last season (maybe even this season) he'd be ahead of Dragic in most people's head.

too many injuries and he hasn't elevated his team anywhere. most of that probably has to do with the fact that he's playing for Mr. Potato Head, but at a certain point, a PG has to start leading a team to Ws to get the love.

Yup. You could argue that up and down the Cav's roster that they actually have more talent than the Suns but they've underachieved horribly, in a much weaker conference.

A baller is the guy who gets sandwiched and clobbered on a drive to the hoop and all he wants to know as people untangle him from them is whether the shot went in. Goran is a baller.

The serious awser would be something along the lines of a very good player. So yea by that definition they are all ballers.
