I agree but Knight could be a star player.

Playing what position? He'll never be a star off-guard. Unless we move Bledsoe to off the ball and again he'll never be a star there either.

If we were dumping all our assets we should have improved on the wing or with a true 4 allowing Morris to play more 3.

Well, they only got rid of the three of the four only assets they had- Lakers pick, All-NBA PG, and one of the best scorers off the bench in the entire league. At least they kept Len.

You can only collect the best assets that are available. The Suns will make further adjustments come draft time and free agency.

We just gave up 3 of our best assets. Maybe 4 if you count Thomas.

lol, you've been ranting about how Thomas was a non-asset and that Plumlee was completely worthless, Ennis was a wasted pick and a non-asset to anyone but Toronto. Now that they actually got traded (for value too) those guys were some of our "best assets".

There is some real Orwellian "doublethink" going on.

What a joke.

We got a

Miami 2017 pick top 7 protected -> 2 years from now Wade is done, Deng and Bosh will have declined, Whiteside will have put them in cap hell or left as free agent.. This pick could be in the lottery..

Miami 2021 pick unprotected -> This pick could be anywhere in six years the entire Miami lineup will have retired besides Whitesite.

Breaking -- Suns get the Cavs 1st round pick 2016, Heat first rounder protected top 7 in 2017 and Heat 1st round pick unprotected 2021.

I like Ennis as a player, but I, much like Paul Coro, questioned his fit on this team due to our abdundance of PGs.

And so we had to trade the LAL first rd pick to dump Thomas? Do you realize how valuable that pick is? I'm pretty sure I've seen you harping on that draft pick plenty as well.

Like I said earlier, I wouldn't mind this trade if we didn't deal that Lakers pick and if Knight wasn't gonna be a FA (who already declined a $9M/yr contract from the Bucks).

Totally unprotected picks are always intriguing. It will be fun to keep an eye on the Heat's progress, or lack thereof, over the next six years.

We traded the Lakers pick to get MCW, Ennis and Plumlee to Milwaukee for Knight

We trade the pick and Ennis for Knight, Thomas was not even involved in that trade.

Why bother? Reading comprehension is seriously lacking and facts are whatever can be derived from words on a page to bitch and moan about the Suns. I wish there were a fan trade deadline.

I just can not swallow that we traded the Lakers pick for the privilege of overpaying another undersized combo guard.

Did they re-hire Blanks as a consultant or did Sarver take over the control for the last few hours?

Otherwise I just can't explain what has happened at this Bucks-trade.

I guess it's all about what you think of Knight. I think the Bucks traded Knight because they didn't want to pay him.

We got a 23 year old near all-star caliber player for a protected first round pick that will require serious lotto luck to get this year and its value was likely to steeply decline when the Lakers blow their wad in a desperate attempt to return to relevancy.

If the lotto gods actually smile on that pick and the like 10% chance that it ends up outside the top 5 this year happens... then it will sting, but in all likelyhood that pick is going to end up like 10th-20th in the 2016 draft.

I can stomach losing that for an under 25 potential all-star.

The interesting thing to me, the Suns must be serious about this two PG offense (call it what you may) or they are just taking the two players (Bledsoe/Knight) for a test drive. I think you may have said something to this effect or I have the wrong poster.
