Good job guys on adding a bit to confidence (getting in the 20's) during the boosting phase.

Ok, this thread has reached 8 pages and I don't have the time to read it all to catch up.

Would someone sum it up for me please?

  • Preseason is 24 hours away (2 games)
  • Updated contracts issued.
  • Need 2 back-up LB's
  • Players are getting boosted - and we're slowly building team confidence to the 20's.
  • We're in a dogfight conference where anything can happen.

I can't cut you before 6 days.

I am going to do a trade and deplete the Knights cash pool.

It's cool Jkf296 - the Knights should pony up some cash fer the transferred czars.

Any thoughts on SS Victor Creed, OT Arkady Rossovich and DE James Howlett boosting?

I'm leaning towards waiting till the end of the season for more XP from lower levels, but can see Creed being more usefull @ a higher level as a starter.

My opinion - we're a minor league team trying to "build" players.

I boosted my QB and K only to help the offense move the ball and get some points.

The rest of my crew are doing the "slow build route".

Okay we laid a stink bomb L 3-28.

I know we're a much better team and our coordinators are still messing with the controls.

I did see quite a bit of potential - especially with the talent in our running game.

Coordinators we need to give the players instructions on how to set their settings. I still had mine set to favor long passes (back from the D league days) and I'm pretty sure our o-line was a mixed bag of settings.

We also need to decide about the "auto" settings are we using it? What percentage do you the coordinators want?

We also need to remind back-ups to play "hard".

Our running game needs to concentrate on outside running, IMO.

Runnoph Myhugeass: 40 plays, 24 pancakes!!!!

Yikes!

What attribute cures the dropsies? Taikento has been plagued by this his entire career, and had 5 freaking drops. He would have had over 100 yards rec if he would have caught those...so my focus is going to be curing that, and fast.

Coordinators - we need a game plan of what you want.

For example I set my oline guys to favor run blocking - the QB isn't gonna favor long passes, etc.

Do the coords know who they are?

"I'm working on it!"

I'm working on a defensive gameplan throughout the day for our next scimmage.

Looks like we going to be rolling with a 4-3. We have 3 solid D-Linemen and 3 Solid Linebackers, but we have better depth at D-line than LB.

Attention all Knights defensive players. Please set your Advanced Tactics as follows:

D-Line:
Tacking Style - Wrap Up
Play Type Focus - Balanced
Pass Coverage - Close & Aggressive

LB's:
Tacking Style - Power
Play Type Focus - Balanced
Pass Coverage - Medium & Medium

DB's:
Tacking Style - Balanced
Play Type Focus - Pass
Pass Coverage - Medium & Aggressive

For now, the starting linup will look like this:

NT - Plugging Da' Hole
DT - Eraldo Coil
LDE - Dick Sutcliffe
RDE - Yurazz Ismine
LOLB - Nathan Hodel
MLB - Nikolai Fury
ROLB - Bane Nightfall
LCB - Eric Swann
RCB - Capitan Planeta
SS - Victor Creed
FS - Plenty OfRage
Nickelback - Stuckto You

Starters Play Instensity - Normal
Back-Ups Play Instensity - Hard

They are very weak on the right side of their O-Line (our defense left-side) so I am adjusting our front 7 to exploit that.

Juggie...make sure to let Darth Fhader control the tempo of the running game...he had a 5.8 ypc average versus Michael Bolton's Kid's ypc average of 2.suck!

Just as an FYI, Slade Wilson, DE, can stand up. I'm working him to be a pass-rush guy, so he's speedy and agile (relative to his lvl, of course)

I thought about that, but I'm not sure if anything is lost in translation with the player basically playing "out of position".

Kind of like in Madden; a Center may have a speed of 74, but he's not as fast as a Running Back rated with a speed of 74.

I will continue to tinker around with it though, because I'd like to see the 3-4 in action...just not for this game.
