W 40-0

390 yards running the ball....47 minutes of time of possession....the kicker with 5 ST tackles and 1 forced fumble...sutcliff is a freakin monster in this game.

Now lets get the season started!

I thought about that, but I'm not sure if anything is lost in translation with the player basically playing "out of position".

Kind of like in Madden; a Center may have a speed of 74, but he's not as fast as a Running Back rated with a speed of 74.

I will continue to tinker around with it though, because I'd like to see the 3-4 in action...just not for this game.

I read in the forums (straight from Bort) about this, and he specifically said there was a very small hit playing DE's at OLB after someone had asked about it and the 3-4.

I plan on developing Logan Howlett in much the same way, thinking OLB in a 3-4 or pass-rushing DE in a 4-3 will be his ideal positions

Cool! That's good to know.

Almost 100 pancakes just from the two G's alone. Even my 17 in that game while paltry compared to your # was damn impressive.

Observations

By 08/09/2008 all starters need to have their confidence in the 20's. Overall as a team - I see folks are chipping in points on this. That's only going to help us by mid season and playoffs.

LB'S,DL - keep in mind that you need a confidence of at least 25 to activate the special abilities modifier.

Def. Coord - you have Muerte El Renegado as the no. 5 CB. that should help with the stamina issues plaguing the starters.

Reminder - get yer players rested to be at 100 energy by next game.

An Appology...sorta.

Folks I've been fairly aggressive the last couple of days and I may have rubbed some folks off the wrong way. Especially to the coordinators I want to say "sorry".

Even though we're a minor league team - we're in the toughest "A" league in GLB where we are slowly getting buried in other ways than on the playing field. Most of the owners have been expanding their stadium capacity to reload for construction during the offseason.

Yes again we're a minor league team - but I also want us to be competative. I don't want to be clicking on GLB to see we get smacked 45-0 on every game. On the flipside - I don't expect folks to spend money and start boosting - thats your call.

But the one item I can control is making sure we got the money to dole out for equipment bonuses.

What I'm talking about is via stadium expansion and ticket revenue....eventually the top 4 teams will have their lower bowl completed by the beginning of next season and will really be rolling in the dough.

They will be making sure all their players are fully equipped and most likely bringing in higher level talent in the free agent market.

So not only do I want to make sure we have money for equipment - I want to make sure you guys have money to train between "normal" and "intense" to maximize the daily skill points garnered.

I've also been aggressive with the Stadium stuff (building, pricing, etc.) and I want folks to know I'm going to raise the stakes and push the envelope more.

We've already had two home games - so we only have 6 left. My reasoning is this for next season: Sooner = Better when building seats.

Why? Because by building early we get more revenues to make up for it during the season.

However - fan support is a big deal. If I can't sell the tickets at a high price then I won't have enough for payroll and may lose the team. We need that winning streak right now to get the fan support up.

In short, we also have to overcome the competition by having smarter built players at lower levels...which also translates into more effecient game plans. Thats another reason why I'm pushing the "confidence" thing - its the only thing that activates the "special abilities"...and generates "upsets".

So again I'm sorry if I've been a nag to the coordinators and players to keep on top of things.

Superspck and DB - I know you guys are trying and I appreciate your effort. Same to you Dot.Ken - your imagination knows no bounds in the ideas you've been generating.

I also realize its not fair to put this burden on you when you have little time and definitely a pain in the ass owner looking over yer shoulder.

Ken I want to also apologize directly to you for stepping in so abruptly on the def. game plan today. Yer doing a great job considering you have no experience - but I saw things that I needed to get my hands without PMing you to death.

Ken keep yer lunch open on monday - my treat.

I just want to say thanks for letting me be a big part of this! I really enjoy it!

Also Im sorry about this guy: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=756143

But because you gave him 0 cash when signed I have no way of uprgarding anything. Not even on the first upgrade which is cheap. At his paysacale it is going to be along time before I can upgrade the equipment. Maybe not until next season.

Bonus on the way - $10k is all I can afford and that makes me more nervous.
