This is a pretty good movie. It scared the crap out of me. Somewhat predictable ending but it is jumpy, very jumpy.

No, in all seriousness, I personally didn't think the movie was worth the price of admission, or the gas it took to get to the theater. To me, it was boring, predictable, and Halle Berry's acting was bad. In fact, her acting seems to be getting worse and worse, or perhaps it just isn't improving. I dunno.
Still, this is just one man's opinion.

Sorry stout Halle Berry's acting was just fine. She is still a very good actress. Were you picturing someone else? Makes me wonder?
Stout said:Oh, sorry, didn't mean to mislead. No, I wasn't picturing anyone else in the part. I didn't enjoy the movie, and her acting (to me) made it even worse. Not as bad as she was in the X-men movie, or the Bond movie, but bad nonetheless. She basically gets roles because she's eye candy, and she's popular, IMO. Female equivalent of Keanu Reeves.
Chaplin said:You've GOT to be kidding me. I don't expect her to be the next Katharine Hepburn, but she's better than a lot out there. Did you see Monster's Ball? She was pretty damn good in that movie.
As for Gothika, I didn't think she was THAT bad--the problem with the movie wasn't the acting, it was that the film didn't know if it wanted to be a horror or a psychological thriller, and that confused things.
