5-7 is 5-7 and I know many of you here hate the guy and want him gone. But this team has won four of five and is on the up swing. Many of the early losses were gut wrenching nail biters that could have gone either way. Many teams would have quit after a stretch like that. Not this team. He has them ready to play every week and you cant deny that they PLAY HARD for him!

They have a lot of young talent that Whis has brought in personally that seems to be evolving into their roles and really emerging. ESPECIALLY on D. I for one am excited to see where this goes and just how good this defense can be next year. 4 of 5 with less than adequate QB play to boot is pretty impressive IMO.

Kudos coach!

Oh and to see how fired up he was in the locker room post game freaking awesome! Glad they showed it!

Lost the close ones in the beginning, now we are closing out games, and we still have room to improve. :)

Tired of hearing it...2 bad a couple of plays weren't made here in there by his players in those late close loses!!! This team would be right in the middle of the playoff hunt. :bang:

Right now This is a classical example of a bad cardinal team: blow a bunch of close games early, win the majority of the middle part of the shcedule (allowing for possible playoff hopes), then close the season out losing 3 of 4 to wind up with a double digit loss season and not be bad enough to get the cream of the crop draft pick.

I can not give him credit just yet, unless the team finds a way to finish the season with an 8-8 record.

Can't wait to hear Skip Bailess run his old routine tomorrow. Pretty tired of his shtick, Romo, Tebow, and Vince Younge all suck just like he does! He's like some old WWF wrestling smack talking, no real meaning, just to get response...he sucks ass now. I've added him to my list, Cowgirls, Frisco-hoes, and Bitch Bailess.

Eh, I give him credit cause the guys didn't quit.. I think more credit goes to Horton and the job he's done with the defense. The offense is still hideous with awful game planning (Demarcus Ware on an island with Bridges all day, haha), but the team at least plays hard

I think that Horton deserves the vast majority of the coaching credit. The defense has carried this team during the winning streak and has done so without Rhodes and Toler.

It's also hard not to attribute the QB situation to Whisenhunt considering that all three of the QB's on the roster have been brought in since Whisenhunt signed his extension which included "personnel decisions"

The play calling in the 2nd half was pure genius on both sides of the ball.

I'd kinda agree, but that spread seems to never get us any where but backed up now. It works sometimes when we are already backed up, and the opposing D plays a drop back style and doesn't feast one what ever QB we have in that week.

Whisenhunt can't win with some people. The Super Bowl, according to some, was because of Haley and now the Cards are winning because of Horton. You guys do realize Whiz is their boss and they're not doing anything without his approval.

The same people were ready to run Horton out of town in week 3

The same overreaction with Horton is still going on with Kolb. You would think with the decades of crap we have seen with this team that we would be more patient with allowing new additions to develop for this team.

I agree that Horton should get a lot of credit. He has had a shortened season with these guys and it seems like things are starting to come around.

The offense still needs help, but the play calling has been much improved.

Would love to see where we would be if we had experienced a full training camp, etc.

Can't wait to see how we start next season if the defense is starting to "get it."

Yep, I have to agree.

Today's second half adjustments and the playcalling was very good. He's been more consistent running the ball recently and less sporadic. He's also almost abandoned the empty backfield on third and short bs.

The fact that he did NOT lose the team is incredible, and is the primary reason I'm off his back.

It was an excellent win. The defense is looking better every week. Adjustments where done at halftime and the offense especially Kolb really performed. The team has turned it around and Whisenhunt certainly deserves credit.

Well that's exactly why we're not more patient. Because so few of the new additions ever developed. They looked lost when they got here and looked lost when they left.

:)

Your one of the hater I was referring to and I tend to think that even if we were to finish 8-8 you would find a way to still back handidly bash him.

You do know who hired Horton right? Whose decision it was? Who has been the final say in drafting the players that are being developed by Horton etc...

My crap O meter was up there for a while too, with all the same mistakes and all. If we can turn that corner (not a PP pun), and if we can carry a non turn over QB for a minute, and give him some time to see what he has...who knows. Kolb didn't make the same mistakes this go around, some will say he did. But he didn't make the mistakes that hurt...so...and we won:)

Whisenhunt deservedly took some heat for some moves and now deservedly deserves some praise for some moves.

I have finally seen him show some adaptability, which was my largest criticism of him. Nice run Whis! I believe we finish 7-9, which is a good launch point for the next season.

KW refused to alter his 'system' early in the season, and many (including myself) were rightly calling for his head. He has since shown that he CAN make adjustments, and anyone calling for his head right now would be completely wrong. Even if we lose out, he's earned another year.
