Jeff, you hit it right on the head. Billy G is nice guy, makes a cool desert with cake and cream, but his fate was all but sealled by first week in Dec. He knew the hand writing was on the wall and even said so.

What I see from this decision is that Denny Green seems to be putting his stamp on this team and is making changes to the roster based on his review of the players.

I may not agree with all the changes he makes and some of them may come back to haunt him, but I am seeing someone who makes a decision and moves on (I so far am in agreement with his decisions so far). I also see that Denny is holding the players accountable for their actions in this case as Bill has been injured over two seasons as a kicker and Denny is moving in a different direction.

I wish Bill success in his future in or out of football.

At least from outside the team, I see rational judgements of players rather than off the cuff judgements(see Buddy Ryan).

When Omo posted who he saw at the facility working out, I thought it was strange that Billy G was absent. It struck me that he should be there given his injury situation. Now we know why.

Personally, I'd rather Bill took his Chevy to the levy.

We shouldn’t speculate on what this team is going to do, or how we would. D.Green is his own man and knows how to build a winner, something that we here in Arizona are not very familiar with. This preseason, draft, mini camps, and preseason looks like nothing we here in Arizona have ever seen or wittiness before.

Bill's a fine lad--

I had an opportunity to be around him and talk to him at the Women's football nights and he is a great little guy, very personable and well mannered, I think he was thrilled to be here, but was having trouble since his injury. I wish him well.

I hate to quote myself but........

Where the hell is this an official announcement? I see nothing anywhere but here that this has happened.

Is this some under the table ploy by Green to kill undeserved contracts or what?

"Cleaned out his locker" what does that mean. He took his laundry to his mom? He is a neat freak? He doesn't like any clutter in his locker?

Nothing other than this thread to verify what's happening as fact.

Mike Jureki reported it.

I like Jurecki and believe this is 95% true. My only problem is no confirmation with any source other than the insider and here.

You would think someone would report it other than us.

Yet nothing from the Cards. Usually straight forward with things like this. Makes me wonder what is happening.

Bill G.....had a meeting with the Cardinals this morning and they informed him that he was not going to be tendered an offer for a new contract.

If the Gramatica report was wrong, Jim O or I would have told you so.

Sometimes, silence says a lot, especially here.

What about Nate Poole? Is he gonna be tendered? I think he should be!!!

As for Bill G, I remember him kicking some clutch field goals and winning some games for us( wasn't one of them that great upset win at Oakland the year we went 7-9?). I liked the enthusiasm he brought to the team also. I liked his positive spirit. The Cards need more guys with enthusiasm like his. Was he a hot dog? Well I can see why some thought he was, but I thought his enthusiasm was sincere, not hot dog or showboat. Yes his Kickoffs were short, but I regret that he is moving on and wish the best for him.

I am also old enough to remember a kicker the Cards drafted in the 2nd round I think, back in the 70's. His name was John Lee from UCLA, and I don't think he ever kicked a FG for the Cards. Grammatica was what, a 4th rounder? The Cards got their money's worth from Bill G, at least when compared to John Lee.

The Grammaticas are jerks. Did you see the reaction of the other players to them. Like when he got hurt? Their attacks on Todd Sauerbran etc. They are a joke.
The sooner they are out of the league the better. Do some research I don't care how they behave off the field. Also in the jerk club Sapp Meyshawn Rice and Gruden.

If you want to find out about them do some research. Their garbage is well documentated.

God forbid that you allow the personal testimonials regarding Billy G... stand in the way of your self-proclaimed deep research on the matter...:stupid:
