In a van...down by the river.
I am guessing stealing cars, driving around, being an asshat to in game characters. :D

Every now and Zen....i still play GTA San Andreas on the ps2......even once you beat the game, its so much fun to just raise hell and see what you can get away with. LOL The graphics and AI were perfectly and hilariously out of control IMO....that cant be understated.

GTA IV was amazing looking.....but for me had no elbow room for an open world game.

Red Dead Redemption was pure genius and 50x better than GTA IV.
I'm always excited to see what Rockstar has in store next. :D

red dead redemption was the ****.

GTA4 just seemed like get a mission, go kill guy. get mission go kill guy. wasnt fun to me. Along with having to "make friends", answer their calls and hang out with them at the bar? I dont want to play the sims I want to play GTA>

GTA has lost its appeal.

It gets old very fast. I remember when GTA (the first one in Liberty City) camme out. You start off crawling out of the prison truck on the bridge and its dark and raining. Was incredible. I like "...So I can just go whereever I want?" Beautiful childhood moment.

GTA4 felt slow to me. Too realistic. I want open roads and straight line speed areas where I can a ramp and rocket off. Not much of that in 4.

With that said, San Andreas was very fun for awhile. Just pure open wilderness is severely underrated in games.

Cheats ruined GTA.

Once you go on a 2 hour long rampage with weapons cheats (I know it by heart ive done it so many times, lol) and health cheats while bazooka'ing hundreds of cop cars and helicopters, the action just gets dull after awhile.

Simplicity rules in that game. Give me 1 motorcycle. 1 highway thats not too busy and 3-4 stars.

I can have hours of fun.

Never use cheats in any game(unless i've already beat it,and i'm just bored).

My daughters are little gamers too and i wont let them do it in order to "beat" a game.

Def a sign that Im getting older, but I cant imagine kids playing videogames nowadays.

when I was little, DOOM was the most controversial game out there. That was for violence.

The language and the extent of stuff you can do in games like GTA nowadays. Damn. Its like the lil' serial killers starter kit.

Really needs an option to shut the language off, the sandbox gameplay is great for any ages if you can remove the swearing. My daughter used to do taxi missions for an hour straight

You can drive on the sidewalk and smear 100 people if you want. Not to mention every car you get into is stolen, lol.

I too have played cab missions, they are very fun. But I know for a fact that given the time restrictions theres nooooo waaaaayy she hasnt cut some corners and nailed countless people during the missions. Theres just no way to make the time if you drive correctly.

Lol...my kids dont play GTA. My oldest is 12,and we'll play co-op shooters like RFoM or some RedDead....she's into RPG mostly anyway(like Skyrim and Spore)... thank goodness, haha.

GTA was pure, senseless, greedy, dont give a **** violence and i loved it...i think i let my daughter perform an insane stunt or two though ..LOL.

I couldnt care less if she is running people over.

Funny part about the theft, she didnt like running from the cops so she would only drive parked cars, wouldnt carjack. Technically you were stealing still but she was 6 so I just told her the cars on the road were free if noone was driving it.

Could not agree more. Ill get GTAV the first day when it comes out. It is a lot if fun, but gets very old quick. The nonsense in IV with the dating and hanging out with friends got old quick.

I'm much more looking forward to RDR2. The first one was amazing with the story line, game play and graphics. I can't freaking wait for that one to come out.

I'm definitely buying it but 5-6 years between title releases is what has lessened by enthusiasm for the next GTA.

I completely get that they are such huge, detailed games that it takes a long time to develop them....but 5-6 years since the last release is ridiculous.

That said, RDR was amazing. I can't tell you how badly I wanted to find a dirtbike in RDR and just go buck wild in that geography haha

I really tried to like the last two games.....spent hard earned cash. It's SO boring after the first couple hours.

I'll be playing it hopefully within a few hours. I have an old school 40GB fat PS3 that has somehow lasted 6 years, but the disk drive finally failed a few months ago. My plan was to just download the game from the network(which i did for COD Blk ops)...but the GTA V game install requires 36GB
No dice.

So i said the heck with it, went out today and bought a 500GB PS3 GTA V bundle from Target for $269. I had a $100 Target giftcard to soften the blow. I miss my blu ray films anyway. Transferring my data as we speak. Cant wait to get this game going.

The last two meaning GTA IV and San Andreas? Or are you including Liberty City stories?

I didn't like GTA IV and i didn't bother with Liberty.
IMO San Andreas is one of the greatest games ever created.
