The worst part in getting a sweep is that we are going to have to wait awhile to see a Suns game again...I guess I can live with that.

What a sweet sweep! Gives Marion some time to heal and Nash time to rest those old bones! Bring on the 2nd round this team is going all the way!

Well, there's always the D'backs. They, too, are starting better than expected.

I've already got tickets to game 1 & 2 of the 2nd round. I went to the 1st 2 games against Memphis as well.

GO SUNS!

This I agree! LOL

I spend a lot of time checking Suns-related messages and articles at work. Haven't got much done lately. lol

Hopefully after 6 days we are still in "killer mode". Having too much rest is not good. It takes away your intensity 'cause it's too comfortable.

Great sweep against a very physical team. Don't know which team out of Dallas or Houston I would rather face. Houston is more physical, but Dallas is deep and has a lot of weapons.

Sweeping Memphis is a much bigger deal than non-Suns fans think. That was the style that was supposed to give us real trouble. A sweep does wonders for boosting the confidence of a team not short on confidence.

It's OK to feel great for these reasons:

-Marion has been huge.
-Uppercase JJ has been huge and consistent (who was concerned about that?:) )
-lowercase jj has clearly benefited from D'Antoni's rotation scheme
-our coach was clearly better than their coach
-when Amare didn't light them up it was because our shooters were open
-when our shooters weren't open Amare lit them up
-the ref's are calling the game like they do in the regular season (close enough)
-I got to go to 2 Sun's playoff games :D -priceless!!!

I could go on. More bright spots than I thought from this series.

An interesting stat from Game 4 - Only 6 Suns players scored in the game, yet the Suns scored 123 pts overall.

...don't forget, Memphis was supposed to be deep and cause us fits!

I am having bad dreams about the next round. I am just praying we don't play Houston! Though I think we should win the series pretty smoothly, I can't help but remember the 90's and the disapointing loses to that team. If it happened again I'd go bury my head in the sand.

Yeah, but do you remember all the first round losses we've had over the past 10 years? We've already crossed that hurdle--I'm not too concerned with our history against the Rockets.

History most of the time is something that the media drags out to try to come up with trends and predictions.

The only time it matters is when the players playing the game are close two, or around the same as the ones who played in this "historic game".

Saying our history against the Rockets is scary, was from 9-10 years ago...none of those players are playing anymore, and that history means nothing at all...

You are very correct, I just can't help but feel jitters. I guess the difference for me is all those first round loses over the past 10 years were what I expected, or at least I wasn't surprised. The teams that lost to Houston I had high hopes for. Overall I realize these are different teams / players, but I would just hate to be upset by Houston over any other team in our conference.

ridiculously impressed with this team so far. For a club without much playoff expereince they looked like odl pros out there - stepping on a wounded teams neck and then maing big play after big play at the end. Also LOVED seeing the FIGHT in Shawn Marion and loved EVEN MORE the smarts by Hunter in coralling him and not having us shorthanded for the next series. This team is a on freaking mission right now - and the break is perfect to get Nash some rest, let Marion's wrist get that much better (although shooting at 57% - ain't no complaints there) and be jacked up waiting to play a likely emtionally drained Rockets or Mavs team - get the early punce on them and get on the way to a 6 game victory!

Very - VERY impressed - this team is scary good.

Oh - did the TNT guys say anything good about us last night? What about Charles - or was he usually dour self?

Charles said a couple things--one, that we are playing the best out of all the playoff teams, and two, by halftime last night, he said to just turn the game off because the series was already over.
