That is good. But Boldin says specifically why hes mad at Whisenhunt. It isnt a secret. He said that during the negotiations last year when the team offered him a bush league extension whisenhunt told him "just sign the contract will you."

Now if he really said that it was completely stupid on his part and a really bad move and totally explains Boldin's feelings. He may have learned his lesson and things didnt get that way when Larry was negotiating because he didnt spout off with stupid advice like that.

The assumptions made about Q's claim of Whiz's involvement make sense. Can everyone else feel the blame beginning to shift from Q to Drew? Drew doesn't care as long as his player (and conversely Drew himself) gets paid. He'll take the heat fro a new deal. Although in Q's defense former players have had issues with Whiz's "field-side manner"

I remember Big Ben taking issue with some of the things Whiz put him through as a young QB. Of course they were probably unpleasant things that Ben needed to progress. And Ben seems a little full of himself since he was saying on Sirius yesterday that the only difference between him and Tom Brady ore "those receivers" lol

My God, I feel like I am in high school. "So Bobby told Sally that I looked fat in my shirt, so I don't want to be his friend anymore"

Totally Agree......... you look fat in that T-Shirt. :)

The worse thing is that Rosenhaus is the agent for a lot of the top receivers in the game and it is painfully obvious that he goes from one guy to another to another and drastically ups the price for his clientel by playing them off each other.

Chad Johnson got paid this so now I will get in Terrell Owens ear about it so he gets paid a little more, then I will get in Boldin's ear about it and he will get paid a little more than TO, and then back to Chad Johnson to get him to complain about Boldin's deal and the cycle continues.

Painfully obvious to everyone except the puppets.

If it is true than I agree.

My assumption is that Whiz and Boldin talked and Boldin took the words and turned it into "He basically said this: just sign the contract will you"

Funny, that Boldin would go back and say Whiz is not talking to him much.

Well, if you are being quoted by your player in public in a negative way wouldn't the best policy is to keep as quiet as possible ?

Highschool.

I think the puppets know, but could care less if they get their coin. About 28-29 years old and I think these players realize their shelf life is shrinking quickly and they basically will get one more huge payday. If you think Q is missing the fact that he will make more now being resigned at 28 (I think) than he will as a 31 year old free agent you you are kidding yourself. Even if he missed that point, I am sure Drew let him know in between saving children in a $5000 Armani suit.

Personally, I don't believe for a second that Whiz would say that, unless he was joking. Whiz has been around the NFL for a long time as a coach and player.

I can't imagine a former player seriously telling one of his stars to "just sign" a contract.

Not really high school if its true. If he was making it up it would be SOOO high school. Problem is we will never know. The only person that will know is Q and Whiz. I SOOO hope a head coach wouldnt say that. Yet I SOOO hope Q isnt a liar.

The bold part tells me this is Q's interpretation of what Whiz said, not a verbatim quote. It is weird Q said (Correct me if I am wrong) that they don't communicate, but Whiz claims they talk about football. Maybe Q just needs a hug and wants a friend. He could be jealous of the love triangle with Whiz and Fitz LOL

I think Whiz has handled it well so far, saying nothing to fuel the fire and take the bait.

He has if he didnt say that. If he did he hasent.

Oh, of course. If he said that last year, open mouth, insert foot Mr. Whiz. But since Boldin has started talking to the media in a negative way I think he has handled it well. Restating the relationship, how much they want him to stay and refocus the discussion on football.

Well its one or the other, one has happened.. And Q has already proven to be a liar... Mr "I will not complain and play out my contract", then 3 weeks later turn around and do the exact opposite.. .. Whiz on the other hand has been praised by Fitz in his handling of his contract..

I just told you in the quote you quoted me on.. 3 weeks ago Q said he would not complain and play out his contract, then 3 weeks later he's demanding a trade and b******* and whining to anyone who will listen..

Based on how dispassionate Boldin's voice seems when he says some pretty passionate stuff, you get the feeling that he's just following the Rosenhaus how-to-force-a-trade playbook.
You can almost see Rosenhaus leaning into his ear, "They can't pay you. They paid Fitz. Start banging the drum NOW to get out of there, and we'll get you the big money somewhere else. Just run the playbook, Q. Run the playbook!"
The Cardinals, to their credit, haven't flinched. They know the Rosenhaus offense, too. If Whisenhunt has had a hand in that part of it, more power to him

This guy hit the nail on the head. Good stuff.

How about, "I'm just going to play football and let my agent deal with the money."

This is like when I tell my wife "you always say this to me" and she requires the date and time of these conversations. LOL

When the story first broke that he was unhappy Q did say he was unhappy with negotiations and has ordered Drew to stop negotiating. He would play out his deal quietly and not resign with the team. Two weeks later he is asking for a trade. I think everyone on here would agree that was the story that broke. I think the interview was with Adam Shefter? Not sure, but we all laughed because of Q's lack of leverage with so much time on his contract.

I think the quote was he would "just play football"..... not sure if complaining was mentioned. Sort of splitting hairs aren't we? He also claims not to be "communicating" with Whiz but by all accounts the two talk (professionally of course). He's just getting carried away and upset. I am not sure they are intentional lies, but his stories are changing.
