I know its still early but I think we've finally found our number three. Not only that, I think we've found our number four too. It's nice to see us come back from that road trip above .500 and doing it with only one start from one of the big boys. If the bats come around, like they're showing signs of, I think we'll be right back in it.

Great to see Spivey getting some hits and he seems to be getting dialed in alot more. Taking hits back up the middle is a good sign.

Elmer is beginning to remind me of Albie Lopez and Rick Helling. No consistency. Good game, bad game.

After the first miserable inning, he wasn't too bad the rest of the way, actually. I think he's a definite improvement over Alpo (for one thing, he doesn't make excuses when he flubs a game or blame others), and probably a mild step up from Helling. But his HR rate certainly suggests he isn't keeping the ball down!

He did settle in after that rocky start. That easily could have been a lot worse. He definitely hasn't been a model of consistency but I wouldn't put him with those two.

i dunno...i think elmer hasn't really shown his best yet...give him time...i think he's still adjusting...
