Specifically points out the value in Larry in slot (he's been mostly split out wide to the single receiver side, thus always facing opponent's strongest cornerback.)

And many other cool facts. Love the depth.

It makes me realize how lucky the Cards were to scoop up Palmer. Other teams are digging for competent veterent QBs like Cassel, Fitzpatrick, mccown, shabb, etc. In order for Carson to make it here, there had to be the right system here, he had to be the right fit, he had to be on a bad team, and the Cards would have to be the one to see the potential.

In truth, there wasn't a lot of luck involved in attaining Palmer. Steve Keim had him singled out for some time, and simply went and got him, when most others believed that Palmer was finished, or at least beyond true worth. The only real luck involved with signing him was that the trade only cost us a 7th round pick. Both Keim and Arians saw the potential, and went after it.

Great article. I have *never* seen this much press coverage for the Cards so early in the season.

Brighteyes, thanks for the link and good to see you still following the Cards. Are they still your favorite team or have you adopted your new home town team (Broncos?)?

I think a few of them have figured out that they might have to pay attention to what Arians has going on here.

Bite your tongue :) The Cardinals are still our team.

We live in Oregon now - and find an awful lot of Seahawk fans, although most here are more into the Ducks and the Beavers. Being in the forest, we can't watch Direct TV, so we actually use NFL Game Rewind. Ian races sailboats (really!) during the day, and after 9pm we watch our game.

Having been season ticket holders for so many years, we can't help but love them. Of course, Arians and Keim and every one of those players makes it very easy.
