I agree - I hate Amare and Diaw because they cost us this series.
If that's what you think, you didn't watch the absurdity off this series or the games at all. Did you happen to notice anything that has happened in the last 5 minutes of at least 5 of the 6 games of this series? Did you not realize that the foul calls AGAINST the Suns seemed to happen at critical moments to BENEFIT the Spurs? I'll tell you examples just the the last 2 games alone.
Game 5, the Suns were ahead by 5 pts with about 5 minutes left in the game, when amazingly enough, Ginobili shooting a 3, Nash runs at his arm up to try to challenge the shot, pulls his arm and tweaks his body AWAY from Ginobili....Ginobili then after the shot, REACHES HIS ARM OUT AND GRABS NASH'S ARM AND PULLS HIM TO THE FLOOR = the refs call the foul on Nash. One of two calls should have been made on that play and neither were called. It should have been either a NO CALL or an OFFENSIVE FOUL on Ginobili. Then with the Spurs UP BY 2, Nash beats Bowen along the baseline for a WIDE OPEN layup and Bowen smack Nash's off hand and causes his body out of whack so Nash misses the lay-up....NO FOUL CALLED ON BOWEN. That's 5 pts that SHOULD HAVE BEEN negated, the Suns would have pulled the game out.
Game 6, the Suns making a major run down by 7 with about 4 minutes to go in the game, Nash drives the lane with Bowen grabbing Nash's off hand knocking the ball to Finley...should have been a foul on Bowen. Again with just under 4 minutes to go, IMAGINE THAT, the same damn thing happens...NO FOUL CALL ON BOWEN. About 3 minutes to go in the game, the Suns down by 8, Raja barely pokes at Ginobili and the ball and Raja gets called for a foul. The very next trip down the floor for the Spurs, Ginobili SHOVES RAJA MORE THAN 10 FEET to get the ball in his hands and NO FOUL CALL ON GINOBILI.
It just amazes me how TRUE BASKETBALL fans can say anything negative about this Suns team in this series. Even with all the B.S. calls, no calls, and lack of punishment from the league offices, they stayed true to their style and higher standards, and didn't lower their standards and FIGHT or start pulling the low life injury causing fouls, unlike the "DIRTY" Spurs.
Stick up for our beloved Suns. Don't talk crap about them. They played his high standards and showed the younger generations of fans what clean basketball is about.
