I don't know why you Suns fans are clamoring for KG...you already have a stud PF in Amare. He's no center...he's a PF. So you would have two PFs of all star caliber...I don't see it working, not in D'Antoni's system.

I'd love to hear how you think it would work.

Your best lineups were with Kurt Thomas and Amare in there at the same time, with Kurt basically the center and Amare free to play PF. KG and Amare together? I just don't see it.

A lot of us want to upgrade Marion and frankly it cant hurt adding height plus more talent in that equation. Marion had his run here...

You don't know Garnett's game very well. He's more of a midrange player on offense. Of course he can be effective in the post, but his offensive game is much, much different from Stoudemire's -- more diverse and not nearly as powerful.

Watch some Wolves games next year (assuming he hasn't been traded by then) and you'll see what I mean. Of the big-name PFs in the league, only Nowitzki spends less time in the paint. (Well, and maybe O'Neal.)

Amare and KG could coexist because their games are different.

Yeah boy, this sure was a great series - IF YOURE A SPUR FAN.
If you are a SUNS FAN this series was heartbreaking, gut-wrenching, and ultimately unfair. Finally we have a season with everyone healthy, and we go out 4-2 in the 2nd round. Dirty, violent play was rewarded, and a boring ass team of whiners and old veterans advances. How is any of this good for anyone but Spurs die-hards?

As a basketball fan, it was a great series. If you want to point blame somewhere, point it somewhere where it will do some good. D'Antoni.

Exactly, This series highlighted everything that's wrong with the NBA. All of the rule changes put in place (hand checking, defensive 3 sec, etc) went out the window in the playoffs. The game is reduced to basketbrawl, where the most physical teams are rewarded for being dirty and fouling as much as possible.

Oh, I've seen a ton of KG...he is one of my favorite players in the league.

You have a point though...he is Nowitzki like in his game, but my point is you can't continue to use Amare as a center, IMO. With Amare and KG, you force Amare to be center and he's on the record (I thought) with not liking that position.

However, since KG plays more like a SF, if you could swing a center somehow a SF KG and PF Amare would kill.

Seriously when the two time MVP Nash gets handchecked almost all the way down the court without a call.............Where is Bill Walton when you need him, no way he would let that go. Right?

What difference do the labels make? What Stoudemire doesn't want is the primary responsibility of guarding the other team's elite big man. Garnett can do that. It doesn't matter what positions you call people. Slap the "center" label on Garnett if it makes you feel better.

Point guards hand checking defensively and pushing off offensively bug the crap out of me. I've been bugged the crap out of for a long time now. As much as Bowen was riding Nash, TwoTime was using his off arm quite a bit on him.

The absolute WORST at using his off arm while dribbling is mike bibby though...good god he might as well attach his arm to the defender's torso.

That crap is never called. On either side.

Look at the teams left in the playoffs.....SA, Utah, Pistons.....all defensive fouling teams that the refs always let play rough physical defensive. Cleveland is the only team that's not a strong defensive team and the only reason they're still in the playoffs is because they played 2 of the worst teams in the playoffs in Toronto and NJ. If they had played the Bulls or Pistons then they'd be gone already.

I guess. I just think it's a stretch when a guy like Ray Allen would be a much better fit for you.

And Allen is going to improve the Suns' interior defense and rebounding how?

The Suns have enough shooters. Bell and Barbosa were both a bit off this series (I assume -- I actually haven't looked at the stats), but that's not the problem. The Suns still scored over 100 points in every game except Game 5, and that's against the league's best defensive team. Their offense is fine.
