That is a given!

I was watching an interview of Levar Arrington tonight and he openly stated that he is unsure about Joe Gibbs but that he was willing to give it a chance.

He went on to say that he was shocked by this hiring and that he had "REALLY REALLY liked Dennis Green" He said it more than once.

That showed me that he was hoping thats who would have been hired by big Dan Snyder.

That shows IMO player perception towards him and will definately help in our attempts to bring bigger name players in here and get this turned around as fast as possible!

On "Inside the NFL" tonight Cris Carter said the Green WILL bring in a lot of free agents. He said players look at the track record of the coach and Green has a great reputation as a winner.

They also compared Green coming into Arizona like Lewis in Cincinatti and said Arizona should be turned around as quickly

Heck I say quicker. I think we have more talent on this team then Cinci did at he end of the year prior to hiring Marvin Lewis.

This is good to hear. Looks like the Card Koolaide cup is starting to fill up a little for this old, bitter fan. Maybe, just maybe, I will be saved from the Darkside.

:D  :D

Speaking of which a few things of interest. Dillon wants out of Cincy, Dennis Green loves Dillon, wouldn't be surprised to see him make a bid for him, although I kind of expect Corey to be in Washington as the next John Riggins under Gibbs.

Dennis Green spoke very highly of Carson Palmer this year, I wonder if we can't get Eli or Ben would Green consider making a run at Palmer in trade since Kitna played so well? I know Section 11 floated that idea a few months ago.

Bill Walsh's name actually surfaced today in a column about potential Raider coaches, included John Madden and Jim Mora Jr's 15 month old son so it was somewhat in jest, but it again confirmed that Walsh had pushed Al Davis to hire Green.

Shane: don't get me started....I think we had more talent this season than Cincy. my reasoning:

1. Their best offensive and defensive players either left or were ineffective (takeo spikes on D and corey dillon on O (became a backup).
2. Their 1st round pick and #1 pick in the draft did not play.
3. we did beat them......although you cannot say we had more talent than the other teams we beat (obviously) - I think you can make that case against the bengals.

granted - both teams are near the bottom of the NFL in talent...but they went from clearly the least talented team in the NFL to almost making the playoffs...the steelers and browns were down - which helped in their division - they did add a few free agents - but then again..so did we.

coaching matters.
