I everyone recalls, neither Whisenhunt or Grimm got Bill Cowher's endorsement for taking over the Steelers after he retired. That lack of confidence speaks volumes now.

That's convenient albeit true excuse EA. The point still is if you're going to run ths ball, do it man y mano. The delayed Shotgun handoff is a shamockery. I prefer Edge gaining tough yardage than T.H. getting bodyslammed 3 yards in the backfield!

I agree the shotgun handoff is garbage. Its a play that should be run every once in a while as a means to keep a team honest and give the surprise factor.

However our QB likes to have to run the offense out of the shotgun as a means to spread the ball out. Our Oline is best suited to run block out of an I formation and have quick hit running (which was starting to work on our 2nd drive before the BS hands to the face penalty). Its one of the reasons why our short yardage running had been working for the most part this season.

There are a number of factors in our lack of a running game with the top being the play of our Oline especially the interior.

I was annoyed with Whisenhunt for playing Fitz and Kurt toooo long, and hardly playing Edge at all at the outset. Even the Fox announce crew, especially Daryl Johnston was questioning why Edge wasn't on the field more. What happened to playing the guys that give you the best chance to win? My disenchantment with Hightower started three games ago and has grown more with each lousy performance. He ain't the answer.

If anything, this game showed just how much the offense as currently constructed, relies on Q and J.J. It also reinforces just how poor this offensive line really is in both pass protection and run blocking.

Whiz's honeymoon is over, odd someone would say that after winning a division and all but the facts are the facts.

The problems we all see just sit there, yeah I know some of it is on the players but all of it at some point in time has to point back to one guy and his way of doing things.

My God can we not ever hire a good coach?
