Anyone know when they start airing this series? This year will be particularly interesting, but I think its a good look at the QBs in a forum you don't typically see.

Both are stubborn as hell. Both are hard asses on young Qbs. Both are not capable of finding a QB. Both had success when they had a old vet on their team, be it Gannon or Warner. Both used talent from the past regime to be successful which they themselves could not gather, Whis with Green and Gruden with Dungy. Way different personalities in mannerisms and being talkative but hardly a indicator of how they coach. Whis = Gruden

Gruden is WAY better than Whiz. Period. End of question

well that really offers evidence for your reasoning, you should hold debates at the elementary school yard. It is real simple, Gruden and Whis have no idea what a good young QB is or how to develop them or they would still be head coaches. End of answer

Gruden could have a HC gig anytime he wants it- but He's following in Maddens footsteps - Which is about as good a gig as their is - in any sport.

I like the show, mainly because he breaks down plays in a way that they don't on other shows. If there are better shows out there doing the same thing consistently then someone please bring it to our attention.

On NFL network the other night they were saying that this year, since the QB draft class is so bad, that Gruden would be breaking down other positions besides QB--like the offensive line and those top prospects. Despite what anyone says or criticisms they may have I'll be watching this year more than most. Can't wait to see him break down other positions.

I do too. I've learned a lot from it and while it may be true that Gruden can't coach QB's, he certainly seems to bring out the best and worst of these guys. I think Gruden knows the game inside and out. That doesn't mean he's a great coach but he's definitely great TV AFAIC.

Ridiculous....some similar traits, yes.....

Gruden won with more than one team....Gannon was arguably a second rate backup QB when he met John Gruden,...and the Raiders were trying to go vertical at all costs, something they have always been known for....Gruden convinced Al to let him play a WC offense and he would win....and he did....the Raiders offense under Gruden was a fugging juggernaut...

Then Gruden went to Tampa, who had an awesome defense but an offense which most mediocre high school teams could stop....and he transformed their offense and won a Super Bowl....against the team and players he had just left no less....

Ya see...in his very first head coaching job John Gruden was good enough that other teams were willing to give him a HC position, Tampa in fact gave up draft picks to get John Gruden, and it paid off for them...

Whis on the other hand, everyone in the league knows he was not the reason for the teams success....and after being flat out fired....he had to take a demotion from CLEVELAND....CLEVELAND (!) in order to maintain a job with an NFL logo on the paycheck.....

hardly a spittin image....
