Have no clue. It doesn't even sound familiar.

1979 comedy/drama. The lead received a BAFTA and an Oscar nomination for this role and he won the Golden Globe and several Critics Awards (National Board of Review, New York Film Critics, London Film Critics) for best actor.

Another quote from the movie: "This is just like television, only you can see much further."

I loved this movie. All my other quotes were guessed in minutes, yet this one was one of my favorite quotes and movies.

It is a classic movie, but really is only well known by film buffs and people trying to show off in silly message board games. Stars one of the greatest comedians that ever lived.

I certainly don't consider myself a film buff ( i had no clue on most of the quotes here) but I really enjoyed this movie and that quote always stuck with me. I thought it would be guessed immediately. showing off? :biglaugh:The part about him being considered for president is timely also.

It was one of those films everyone talked about when it came out. (Granted I was in L.A. hanging with industry people who sat through the credits.)

I much preferred The Party another PS cult film.

I have to go for a while so I will go ahead and give the answer: Being There starring the great Peter Sellers. One of my faves. Here's an easy one:

Cinderella story. Outta nowhere. A former greenskeeper, now, about to become the Masters champion. It looks like a mirac...It's in the hole! It's in the hole! It's in the hole!

Didn't we have this one earlier in this thread?

I'll guess Caddyshack because I recall that it was mentioned - and its the only 'golf' movie I know of.

I've grown very fond of Tin Cup, for me I'd have to call that the greatest golf movie ever. Considering I hated it the first time I saw it, that's saying something. I still love Caddyshack but there's nothing wrong with second place. And as bad as Caddyshack II is, I'd gladly sit through it again before watching the Legend of Bagger Vance a second time.
