I was stuck in Fresno for 12 weeks when this movie came out in July 1980 so I saw this movie a number of times. The lady pictured played the wife of a well known country singer in his first starring role. In fact I am going to see him in concert on my 65th birthday next month.

As a Lakers fan, I recognize that actress. :)

The film is Honeysuckle Rose. Haven't seen it in years.

LOL. Yeah, but you know that's not Jack in the movie right? It's some other old geezer who shows up just about everywhere. Although I can't remember seeing Willie at a basketball game?

Frisco Kid???? I've never seen the movie but I've heard of it and since you said Chap's answer was close,
I'm just making a wild guess.

btw, Chap, I hope it's all good with the little one.

Yeah can't believe I came up with Cisco Kid, which was an old tv show I've NEVER seen... Weird.

He's doing ok, thanks for the thoughts--he had a viral infection to begin with, that ended up becoming bacterial pneumonia. Hopefully with all the antibiotics they're giving him he'll show improvement today and be on his way home.

I just assumed you were playing around. Cisco and Pancho, man I hated that show. It was even worse than the Roy Rogers Show. Of course, I saw every episode multiple times anyway.

I saw Roy and Dale when I was a kid. They made a personal appearance at a local park and shook hands with every kid who wanted to shake hands. Which was several thousand kids. Including me. I still have my official Dale Evans watch.

The only other celebrity I've seen do that was Charlton Heston. He stood in the pouring rain to shake hand with several hundred singers in Disneyland's candlelight procession. Including me. It was an El Nino storm and he got soaking wet while he shook hands and joked with us. Few celebs do those kinds of things.

In 73, I was stationed with a couple of young men that were from So Cal, specifically the High Desert area. They talked about Roy and Dale a lot, they meant as much to them as Wallace and Ladmo did to those of us that grew up in the Phoenix area. But as a little kid that loved westerns, I hated to see one with an automobile in it. I figured it stopped being a real western if they drove around in cars and trucks.

The Equalizer!

I knew that one was easy... Man on Fire is one of my favorites and this
runs a close second.. Denzel at his best in this genre, imo

You're up

Even without knowing the actor pictured, I thought for sure I knew what this movie was but google says I'm wrong. Beverly Hills Cop has an almost identical scene in it, all the way down to the same brands of bootleg cigarettes (Pall Mall and Lucky Strikes).

I am pretty sure it is BHC II or III.

I'm going to give it to Steve. It is in fact Beverly Hills Cop (the first one). He was in the very beginning and was the guy Axel was buying cigarettes from.

The actor and character was also in Beverly Hills Cop II, but he was dressed in a tailored suit in that movie.

Google says it's 29th Street that's why I was confused. I recognized Bronson but not the guy in the cigarette scene (other than he seemed like the actual actor from the first Beverly Hills).
