I assumed it was Willow too. I only know a couple of things about that movie. One of my favorite actors (not people, just actor) met and married his future ex-wife in that movie and my then 13 year old son gave it the following review: It's no Ladyhawke, that's for sure. Ladyhawke was one of his favorites and directly resulted in him watching anything that looked remotely similar.
Willow was great! Very solid pre-LOTR fantasy.

Maybe, like I said, I never saw it. I missed a lot of movies and TV shows in the late 80's as I worked incredibly long hours (stupidly long hours for which I was not compensated). All I had to go on was my son's disappointment, he really loved Ladyhawke and was in search of something similar. He saw Princess Bride a couple months after Willow and he was happy once again.

My Name is Nobody???

Not with Bud Spencer. It has to be one of the Trinity movies, I'd say They Call Me Trinity but Trinity is Still My Name is a good possibility. My Name is Nobody is easily my wife's favorite comedy western although I'm equally partial to the Trinity movies. Terence Hill doesn't play the same character in Nobody but it's really just a difference in name only as he's functionally the same fast drawing prankster.

Good luck getting an answer on that one. :)

Seriously? Let me guess, you wasted your class time watching Citizen Kane and The Third Man and skipped the Bud Spencer/Terence Hill pairings (circa 1970 and onward)?

Bud Spencer (the fat guy) was an olympic swimmer, Terence Hill was a very famous Italian actor that didn't speak Italian. He was originally cast in films because he looked a lot like one of the most popular Italian actors of the time, Franco Nero - famous mostly to American audiences as the bad guy in Force 10 From Navorone. Put that in your film school cigar and smoke it!

I have clearly brought a knife to a gunfight.. I'm totally out of my league in this thread... The ones I've gotten correct here were obvious to me or just plain luck. I had forgotten about the Trinity movies but I did recognize Terrance Hill. Can't really remember Bud Spencer off hand.

I bow to the master!

Bud Spencer played his foil in several movies, not just the Trinity's. They even paired together after Terence came to Hollywood in the later 70's and the 80's. His movies didn't really do well which surprised everyone because his spaghetti western comedies were huge hits as imports.

The Trinity flicks along with the other movies they made together are notoriously good bad movies that would not likely appeal to most people today. But My Name is Nobody is special and not just because Henry Fonda also stars in it. It too suffers from the test of time but if you get a chance to watch a good copy of it, it's a lot of fun. Just about every bad movie character actor from the 70's is in it.

As for bowing to the master, just watch, it will probably turn out to be My Name is Nobody.lol

I just remember a scene where he outdraws this guy in a saloon, holsters his pistol, slaps the dude, draws his pistol, holsters it, slaps him again..etc. Hysterical at the time

Yeah, that's from My Name Is Nobody. It's the drinking/shooting game that they wager on that concludes with Nobody making a fool out of Squirrel (Neil Summers, an English actor and stunt man that taught the fast draw to many of the American stars in the 70's, 80's and 90's). He also owns a world famous collection from the old west, some of it is often displayed at the Gene Autry Museum in Griffith Park.
